Of all the hubbub rightly surrounding the healthcare mandate handed down from the imperial throne of Barack Obama, one aspect of this issue has not been sufficiently discussed: the disturbing fact that sex has now made its way into nearly all aspects of American life. Many have written of the clash between First Amendment rights and those who would seek to curb them, while others have debated the moral evils of abortion, but few have sought to plumb the cause of it all: our national descent into the sexual gutter.
Without doubt or question, sex rules our airwaves, satellites and all the forms of human communication which comprise our leisure time. The subject of sex dominates our children's education and overflows into the fields of sports, music and the so-called arts. It is indeed impossible to watch or listen to any form of entertainment without being bombarded with direct or indirect references to, or advertisements for, sex; its attainment, its glorification or the improvement of its 'performance.'
When we speak of sex this does not, of course, refer to what was once known as conjugal love; that which in an ordered society is a beneficial and great moral good. No, the modern conception of sex is that exercise of bodily functions which exists only for the use of human beings by other human beings solely as instruments of physical pleasure; often perversely so.
This desire for unfettered access to sex is probably one of the greatest reasons for this country's unfortunate descent into the realms of atheism and agnosticism.

If sex is a right, then I want reparations.
I hear folks bring up the specter of “bedroom legislation” but in this post-Christian, increasingly decadent society we now find ourselves in, is there really any big legal movement pushing for that today? Interestingly enough, Ronald Reagan thought we should keep the anti-sodomy laws on the books. It wasn’t because he wanted to enforce them. It was simply because he knew what would be unleashed culturally as a result of their repeal. History certainly proved him right in this area.
OOOOOOoooohhh!!!!!
Hi, Honey ...
We're here to deliver your "reparations" ...
and a switch hitter was able to switch from right to left and never miss a lick
(As the old saying goes, be careful what you ask for.....)
“They knew how to argue, they were master debaters. “
Some would dismiss that as mere sleight of hand, but I think they twisted things around for their own reasons.
And where do you see any call in the article for government regulation. This is quite different from promoting a moral vision that virtuous people regulate themselves.
You can run for office, become a legislator and make sex illegal. Now, feel better?
It all depends on which list you are refering to.
The original development of the drug was to aid in heart circulatory problems.........until it was discovered that it also aided in erectile dysfunction.
Many drug plans will not pay for Viagara unless it is specifically related to heart conditions........mine included.
Please try actually reading the article before commenting.
Thank you for your cooperation.
[ Oh goody. Another Nanny State busybody claiming to be a conservative who wants to regulate what consenting adults can do in the privacy of their own homes. ]
What are you talking about?
“And where do you see any call in the article for government regulation. This is quite different from promoting a moral vision that virtuous people regulate themselves.”
Thank you, Petrosius. I think many folks commenting never actually read what Miss Fabrizio actually wrote.
>>Many drug plans will not pay for Viagara unless it is specifically related to heart conditions........mine included.<<
I stand corrected. I meant as a sexual stimulus drug only. And FWIU, many insurance companies cover it as that way as well as a heart medication.
And many companies such as mine, which is self insured, do not allow the prescribing of the drug for sexual purposes whatsoever...........
“but this idea that we have to financially support what other people do in their bedrooms is ridiculous.”
That’s exactly what it is.
Life, liberty and the pursuit of HAPPINESS!!
I have it on good authority, that there was a rousing debate about the phrase reading Life, Liberty and the pursuit of....Thingy! but the Founders, after a night of wild partying decided it would be huge fun to put the whole thing in code.
Those Rascally Founders! The clues are everywhere- planted there for some brilliant future liberal mind to interpret the TRUE meaning behind this silly little document.
Really, did John Hancock HAVE to sign so prominently? Another signer, Philip Livingston. Did you realize the letters in his name spell Pill Voting Hip Ins? Coincidence??? I think not!!! And you do know Franklin was actually endorsing same-sex unions when he suggested that the Turkey be the national bird. You have a turkey and what do you need? A baster, of course!
You people just don't know how to read between the lines, I tell you!
Reproduction is a basic tenet of life.
And for the human race, that is fulfilled through sex.
It only happens that way because the citizenry of America *WANT IT* to happen that way. We are the ultimate arbiters of what becomes law, as we are the ones who put lawmakers into office.
And if we no longer wish to pay for the mistakes of others, then we will elect those who will change the laws of our land to reflect that.
There are still a few who have a grasp of what is really important.
