CNN Poll: Americans Oppose Obama’s Contraception Mandate By 50% To 44% Margin…

Hasn’t the MSM been telling us Obama’s mandate was hugely popular?

Washington (CNN) – Half of all Americans say they oppose the Obama administration’s new policy concerning employer-provided health insurance plans and their coverage of contraceptive services for female employees including those at religiously affiliated institutions, according to a new national survey.

The push by the White House has been sharply criticized by Catholic Church officials, and many political pundits have said that the controversy could hurt President Barack Obama’s re-election chances with Catholic voters. But a CNN/ORC International poll released Thursday also indicates that the vast majority of Catholic Americans say they don’t always follow church teachings on such issues as abortion and birth control, and few Americans Catholics believe artificial means of birth control are wrong.

According to the survey, 50% of the public disapproves of the Obama administration policy, with 44% saying they approve of the plan.

Exactly. And even beyond that, the government has no Constitution right to impose a federally-run health care system upon us. Obamacare in its entirety is unconstitutional, not to mention immoral. Like all of us, the Catholic Church reaps what it sows. It’s been a shill for Obamacare since its inception. Now the Church is crying the blues because of the contraception/abortion mandates. Me thinks they dost protest too much.

Yes, The Exempt Ones, are counting on just this type of debate, as to deflect and desensitize, from the fact that this is Arbeitsziehungslager, an illegal Satanic theft, as the body belongs to The Spirit, not a state.

Beware people. In just debating a PART, is to legitimize the entire Arbeitsziehungslager.

I listen to all these talking heads supposedly supporting the Catholic position and they keep blowing it.

1. Damn it, it’s about forcing contraception on the Catholic Church and its ministries. It’s not about forcing contraception on the nation.

2. While it might not be considered cool by the real Catholics for everyone to be given free condoms and pills, the government forcing those things on the Church and its ministries is government forcing a Church to violate its own teaching.

It doesn’t matter how many Catholics like the doctrine of birth control any more than it matters how many Presbyterians like the doctrine of predestination.

The GOVERNMENT is not permitted to tell the Presbyterians they must be free will instead of predestination.

Friends, the GOVERNMENT is out of line when it tells the Catholic church is must support and offer contraception in violation of the Church’s own teachings.

Should they be handing out IUDs to nuns and rubbers to priests? Should altar boys have a bowl of condoms at the entryway? Should Catholic Ministries like hospitals, ALSO PART OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH, be forced to distribute pills, abortion drugs, and coils to workers in Catholic settings?

Tell The Catholic League’s Donohue to buy a clue and quit talking about shell games with money.

A Catholic Hospital is CATHOLIC, just as much a part of Catholicism and attached to the Pope as is the local Catholic worship center.

But they’ll only call it “assisted suicide” until the polls show that’s the wrong wording. Then it will just be called “helping your loved ones get to heaven more quickly then God had planned”. How could anyone be against that?/s

This poll also shows what a moron Obama is. And I have never called a President that. I respect the office. But this guy just assumes that because a large percentage of Catholics have used birth control, they thinks it's fine for the government to infringe on religious liberty and the first amendment. The man can't reason. I bet half of the percentage that support him still think it's all about free pills.

I have two kids. Married 15 years. I'm Catholic. Do the math. I sinned against church teaching. I am admitting this freely. But keep the government out of my church!

It’s not that they don’t care, I don’t believe, it’s that they’ve been brainwashed into believing that the 1st Amendment ONLY applies to the issues THEY CARE ABOUT....but, it is scary that 50% do not understand what FREEDOM IS!

These are Registered voters not even screened to see if they know what century it is. Hence, if you looked at Likely Voters the results would be at least 55%-45 against.

LOL!!!!

Don’t worry about this poll. CNN probably asked their male staffers if they were in favor of Obama’s “man-date” program. They were pretty much in favor, then the questioner mentioned taking a “pole” and it sealed the deal.

I believe Freedom loving, non Socialist are the slimmest of majority in this country right now, but we are slipping fast. I’m very certain 0bama will be re-elected at this point.

I give us another 5 years before the majority favor and support Socialism and little freedom. I work with a lot of young people in my office (about 30 kids under 26). In many conversation with most of them at one time or another, I have found they all love 0bama. They believe Socialism is a good thing. The want a world where their homes, food, clothing and medical care are provided to them by the government. They believe government needs to limit our freedom. The love the 99 percenters. Most of them or Atheists. The guys think MooChelle 0bama is a hot mama. They support gay marriage, gay education to school kids, condoms in the schools, and few have even said the Republican party should be banned and Sarah Palin executed. These kids are the future of this once great nation.

I’m scared. If I was 70, I would care less as I know I most likely will have checked out before this punks are in power. But I’m only 40, so I could have another good 30-40 years left and I will have live under this crap (but if 0bamacare kicks in, that should help mercifully lower my life expectancy). I used to be sad that I never got married and had children. Now I am greatful. I don’t have to struggle to keep my kids on the right path when everything out there is leading them astray. And if they remained freedom loving, good Christian children who love God and Jesus, they would suffer the pain of rejection and being an outcast. I think God has spared the pain of that by not leading to the right woman for me.

It’s the last decade where we have really lost the future generation, and sadly 6 of those years were under full Republican control. How did that happen?

Conservatism is on life support and the plug will be pulled very soon. We have lost this battle and will soon lose this country. Freedom will be no more.

There is only one thing tat gives me hope......God is the only hope we have. Perhaps the time is at hand for Jesus return and God will soon judge those who have scorned him, rejected him, led people on a Godless path and who aided and abetted the genocide of 40,000,00 innocent, unborn babies. I know the Bible said things would be really bad before Christ’s return. If it’s not bad enough right now, I wonder how much worse will it get.

This is a LOSING proposition for Obama - and he should know it.

1st Amendment freedom is sacred to ALL Americans. Their feeling is going to be:

"IF he can do this to religious organizations, WHAT ELSE will he attempt to do in violation of the 1st Amendment?"

I think that this will ALSO affect the healthcare debate, with those who have not already made up their minds being swayed to vote AGAINST Obama in the election - STRICTLY based on government interference into their lives ...

Plus, factor in that many people, when asked poll questions of this type, find the line of questioning offensive and refuse to participate.

And this is just the beginning. It will get worse for Obama and his Party.
Don’t listen to the lying media watch what Democrats up for election do. Casey, Larson and so on.
Even the CINOs will jump ship.

This is actually a good poll given CNN conducted it. I’m sure they did not ask the question this way.

Do you support the Government forcing private companies to offer contraception/abortion services in their health plans?

America is still a lot more conservative than liberal in general terms especially when faced with straight on arguments. The problem is the stranglehold that the left has on the messaging/media and even then the number of self id conservatives is increasing. Imagine if some of these conservative billionaires would get off their asses, get together an buy out or exercise controlling shares in some of these msm media companies and change the game?

Politics is like a bandaid if you don’t win the culture.
