NA$CAR has been going down the drain ever since Hary Gant retired.
In this case, it’s not really PC at all. This is all part of a well-orchestrated attempt by NASCAR to shed its Southern roots and become part and parcel of the modern American entertainment scene. That’s why NASCAR has been moving its races to all of these big-city venues all over the U.S. over the last few decades. It’s also why you’ll see all kinds of pop icons performing at NASCAR races (Lenny Kravitz is doing a pre-race show for the Daytone 500 in a couple of weeks).
Someone send NASCAR a dictionary with “Blowback” highlighted. Because that’s about to become their new reality.
I assure you all that every company in America that doesthe kind of $$$ that NASCAR does has had a ‘representative’ from Obama visit with ‘advice’ on how things will henceforth be done. NASCAR just held out longer than most and that ‘advice’ bot more strident.
Anyone who has not yet read 1984 better do so. Quick. And believe it.
I have follow NASCAR for 51 years and that was the only time that I ever saw them capitulate to anybody. One time the state of Alabama threatened to raise some kind of tax on their operation in Talladega and Big Bill France told Alabama that he would tear down that track and move elsewhere. The state backed off.

Unbelievable! The CSA battle flag is not “racist” in any way. It’s only been declared to be so by racist organizations that try to rally their folks against whites and Southerners. Eff ‘em. I’m not a NASCAR fan anyway.
That is such a badass machine. I might NASCAR if the cars were like that.
When I went to a Nascar race the Confederate flags outnumbered the U.S. flags about three to one.
After 911 The Star and Stripes were everywhere and only a very few Confederate flags to be seen in the campgrounds where I was parked.
The last 2 or 3 years the number of Stars and Stripes has fallen off dramatically, but still very few Stars and Bars to be seen.
To nix the General Lee from the NASCAR prerace ceremony is just another dumb ass move by Mike Helton. This latest mistake is PC stupid.
