Mitt Romney is Attempting to Destroy the Republican Party
Business Insider ^ | February 17, 2012 | JD Rucker

[Big SNIP]

....If Romney can't win, he'll be certain that the person who beat him is so damaged, so beaten up by his negative campaign ads that they will have no chance against Obama. Unfortunately for Republicans, it creates a lose-lose situation.

Mitt Romney cannot defeat Obama. His flipping and flopping is well documented and will be highlighted by the Obama campaign as the signature of one with a lack of character. He is such a poor speaker in interviews that he attempted to appeal to the middle class by trying to bet Rick Perry $10,000 and later saying that, “I’m not concerned about the very poor. We have a safety net there. If it needs repair, I’ll fix it.”

If something is not a concern, it won't be fixed.

The statement was not intended to downplay the troubles of the unfortunate in America, nor was his bet with Rick Perry an attempt to point out that he has the ability to offer 3-months of an average worker's salary on a whimsical wager. His intended meanings are likely (relatively) pure but his inability to stop putting his foot in his mouth will get him demolished against Obama's buzz machine.

They won't have to destroy Romney. They just have to wait around long enough for him to destroy himself.

Leading up to the next primaries, Romney's team will go on the offensive against Santorum. If Paul or Gingrich make up ground, he will attack them as well. He does not have enough good ideas to lift himself as the rightful Republican candidate, so he's trying to destroy everyone else to make himself the reluctant choice by default.

If the other threads I’ve read today are any indication of what the GOP-e strategy is, then the party will indeed be destroyed...by their own hand but not in the way they think.

I’ve never felt more strongly about a third party if this mess cannot be cleaned out.

His undiluted obsession for the office of president is becoming pathological.

His self glorifying statements on his history are so repetitive and well known we can all mouth his words along with him when he speaks.

There is a palatable panic in his attacks against anyone who threatens his goal he’s now realizing he is out of ammunition and ,out of desperation, he throws his empty gun at his opponent.

Excellent post. Near describes my thoughts and feelings about Romney. I have this sense that he’s been running for POTUS for literally decades, and to what avail? I’ve never heard one thing from him that inspires me to want to vote for him. IMHO, it’s truly all about him, and him only. I don’t get any sense at all that it’s because of his love and concern for the country. In no uncertain terms, I will-not-vote for Romney should he become the nominee. Will write in a candidate most likely, but will not cast a vote for this man.

It is time to acknowledge that there is only one political Party, with two categories of elected officials: The Power-hungry and the Comatose.

The Democrats want to control the lives of all citizens and the Republicans are too impotent to stop them.

There are a few exceptions - but when they stand up to the status quo - their GOP colleagues and the MSM tear them down.

We have only one problem solver running for POTUS - Newt!

Romney is status quo and Santorum does not have the necessary qualifications for a course correction. Santorum wants to beat us over the head with social mores. Moral people don’t need it and an immoral society doesn’t care.

Mitt's family immigrated here to serve Joseph Smith a 171 years ago, after converting in England , the Romney family is LDS royalty, and they have an ugly history with America, Mitt's own father was born in Mexico after the family fled American law because of the families commitment to sexual perversion.

That is Bishop, and Cardinal (Stake President to Mormons), Mitt Romney, the son of a Presidential candidate who was also a Bishop and Cardinal (stake President to Mormons).

Some Mormons believe that Bishop Romney is the fulfillment of the "White Horse Prophecy", and it is expected that Mitt will become an apostle in the future, Bishop Romney himself knows that he will become a God, and rule over an earth like Planet in time.

I never said anything about a conspiracy, I was describing Mitt Romney’s personal agenda. Mitt is bitter about the way his family has been treated and received by the gentiles, his father was mocked by conservatives as a Presidential candidate, his mother was rejected in her senate race.

Mitt’s family always fought the conservatives, even on the convention floor in 1964, remember that Mitt himself was anti-
Reagan and did not vote for him, and would not join the GOP until after he was gone.

I might me hard core, but I feel beating Romney in the primaries is MORE important than winning the general election "at any cost". Don't get me wrong, I want to win the general but there is a cost too high; at least for me anyway. Flame on.

I’m at the same place, I won’t vote for Romney if he gets through the primary.

I think it is time to show the GOP who’s boss, if not now when?

Romney is a weak and vulnerable candidate. And the base is fired up.

As i said ‘tin foil hat alert’

Plenty of reasons to not like mittens. His religion has nothing to do with any of them.

Here's something else to think about concerning Romney---all of his shadowy minions and campaign staffers who have been waging this scorched-earth war against Conservatives (beginning with the 2008 attacks on Sarah Palin) will be the ones populating the White House and federal bureaucracy should he somehow get the nomination and then beat Obama.

To me, there's not a dime's worth of difference between them and Obama's people.

That would be true if he were a casual member of his religion. But that is not the case.

Romney is a true believer...devout. His religion informs his very person and his decisions. He is the walking, talking, acting extension of his faith.

You’re right about the LDS angle. Nobody is picking up on its secret involvement and goals in his campaign.

Funny you should say that. And clever.

Every word you said is quite true, yet most folks either don't realize it (yet) or are unwilling to consider it.

Yep.

Romney's minions have been described as "children of the damned" with their blank stares, dilated pupils, and uniform gray suits.

If they get into office, they will do almost anything to remain there.

Romney is Obama 2.0!

It’s hard to keep a running tally of all the people who are trying to “destroy the republican Party”.

If the lying, backstabbing Bishop of Kobol is on the
GOP ballot, we will not vote for ANYONE in the GOP.

PERIOD.

The GOP is finished for even considering the
saboteur Bishop, since it shows it is truly
the STUPID PARTY.
