Herman Cain rallies Georgia crowd for Newt Gingrich

CUMMING, Ga.— Herman Cain may no longer be seeking the GOP presidential nomination, but he still has plenty of fans in Georgia.

The erstwhile presidential candidate received a standing ovation at South Forsyth High School, where he introduced former House speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.) at a county precinct meeting.

“You know, I knew I had some friends in Forsyth County,” Cain said, as the crowd cheered. “But we’re here because we believe Newt Gingrich should be the next president of the United States in America.”

“And contrary to what the mainstream, lame-stream, lapdog media want you to believe, he can pull it out,” he told them.

The former Godfather’s Pizza chief executive identified three reasons why his former competitor deserves to be president: jobs, energy and bold ideas.

Referring to the economic plans of Gingrich’s GOP opponents, Cain said, “their proposals continue to rearrange the deck chairs on the Titanic,” adding that they replace old loopholes with new ones.

Great photo. They obviously respect each other.

Dynamic duo.

Santorum endorsed Specter in a deal to get SCOTUS Justices Alito and Roberts confirmed. http://www.americanthinker.com/2012/01/mad_at_santorum_over_specter_what_would_reagan_do.html

Don’t be silly, Apolly. Like Herman ALWAYS says, “get a sense of humor, folks. Please.”

Great picture. It does speak volumes to me as well that Herman Cain and Rick Perry are supporting a fellow competitor. I was wrong about Gov. Perry, being in the race for himself, so, my apologies to Rick and his supporters. The person, I defended for a number of months was Santorum on his character (not his over spending and ties to the Bush administration). After seeing some of his opportunist stunts and false attacks on Newt, I have changed my mind of not supporting him. Newt/Palin (2 true reformers)

Not a good excuse ...not at all. Here's the pertinent question not asked.

Who would have headed the Senate Judiciary Committee if Specter lost his senate seat in 2004 to Toomey?

No doubt someone more conservative than Snarlin Arlen would have headed the Senate Judiciary Committee. Who was in line to take over - Hatch perhaps? I doubt he would have went against Alito or Roberts. In the end, it was a party-line vote 10 to 8 for and against Alito, and his replacement would have STILL voted for Alito or Roberts. This still shows however Saint Rick is not all for principle that some of you guys like to think and he is a player with the GOP-E club.

You got that right Red Steel. Newt knows the Capitol Building like the back of his hand. Knows where the back room meetings take place. Who runs them and how the maneuvering is done.

Newt is every Congress persons worst nightmare. He knows how the place runs and he knows how to get things done there.

It will be very hard to snow President Gingrich when he takes over the Oval Office.

Newt will, probably, do well in Georgia, but it’s the other states that Newt needs to improve upon. How can Newt become a frontrunner again, if Newt, even, can become a frontrunner again?

"Can you tell me how to post pics on the thread?"

I do very little HTML myself so when I need to post a picture and can't remember how I simply right click the Freerepublic web page and select "View Page Source" to see the HTML version. I find in the HTML where someone has posted a picture and duplicate what they did except that I replace the URL they provided with another URL that points to my picture. It works for me and I don't have to waste valuable memory cells to learn HTML in detail.

Here is an image I borrowed from this page: the text I pasted in this reply is:

img src="http://i.i.com.com/cnwk.1d/i/tim/2012/02/18/GingrichandCain_620x350.jpg" /

all enclosed inside < >

It produces the picture below. The form of the command is , where name is the URL of the picture you want to display.

Thank you! I am not very computer literate and that sounds all easy except the last part. My pic is on my computer (which is very old), not online. Do I need to find an online pic storage place? If so, what do you use?
Thanks again.
Pam

You need to upload your pictures to a web hosting site such as Photobucket. It is free and very easy to use. You will need to setup a new account there. Once you have a Photobucket account and have uploaded some pictures, you can just "mouse over" a picture and it will show you several link forms. Click on direct link and it will copy the URL to your clipboard. Then just paste it into your post in the img sec "name" decribed previously.

Do you have some link that expounds on this, because I would like to make up a little blurb about it... that is the first thing Sanctimonium’s supporters spout when you bring up his support for Arlen. It would be so-o great to accurately debunk that... I don’t know that era very well, how could I search for info on this particular issue? Sorry for the dumb questions...
