Herman Cain rallies Georgia crowd for Newt Gingrich

CUMMING, Ga.— Herman Cain may no longer be seeking the GOP presidential nomination, but he still has plenty of fans in Georgia.

The erstwhile presidential candidate received a standing ovation at South Forsyth High School, where he introduced former House speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.) at a county precinct meeting.

“You know, I knew I had some friends in Forsyth County,” Cain said, as the crowd cheered. “But we’re here because we believe Newt Gingrich should be the next president of the United States in America.”

“And contrary to what the mainstream, lame-stream, lapdog media want you to believe, he can pull it out,” he told them.

The former Godfather’s Pizza chief executive identified three reasons why his former competitor deserves to be president: jobs, energy and bold ideas.

Referring to the economic plans of Gingrich’s GOP opponents, Cain said, “their proposals continue to rearrange the deck chairs on the Titanic,” adding that they replace old loopholes with new ones.

Gingrich’s Virtues

"And as for Gingrich’s Republican “colleagues,” whom the Editors applaud for ejecting him from the speakership, no one can deny that they had their reasons. But is there not another side of that story worth telling?

In the seven years they controlled Congress after Gingrich left, didn’t these esteemed colleagues have something of a “weakness for half-baked (and not especially conservative) ideas”? Under a Republican president, they added over $3 trillion to the federal deficit, shunned conservative policy in favor of Beltway influence-peddling, and so damaged the GOP brand that we ended up, first, with an electoral rout that lost the majority Gingrich had worked years to forge, and then, with Obama.

How much should I really care that Newt’s fabulous colleagues think his reemergence would be a disaster for Republicans?

Lest these characters forget, it is the Tea Party and President Obama’s radicalism that have put them back in the saddle — 2010 was not a merit promotion; they were the only alternative in town."

two of the three candidates who withdrew from the race have not only endorsed but are actively working for him now.

Of course...they know a great man when they see one and fully capable of taking on Washington...and they're going to help when Newt gets there!

Go Newt Go!!!!!!

I recall how gentlemanly these two were early in the debates; two class acts. Yeah, Newt later got ensnared in Romney’s web of petty, but hopefully that nonsense won’t be repeated.

Those that are serious about foregoing the platitudes, and prefer to be realistic about saving the Country, please vote Newt!

How does the final pick for ‘12 GOP POTUS, successfully, “fix” all of the political damage that the RINOS, the Establishment Republicans, and the Elitist Republicans have caused, over the last few years and counting (And, this doesn’t, even, include all of the expected political damage from the remaining left and from the MSM!)?

excerpt from your article: Specter is the man, after all, who enthusiastically supports taxpayer funding of abortions and voted against the Partial Birth Abortion Ban; who's against tort reform and school choice; who supports racial quotas, who helped invent the verb to Bork, who voted "yea" on certifiable pinko Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and who, as the presumptive heir to the chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee, threatens to toss any traditional jurists. His record only gets better. Specter fought Bush's tax cuts tooth and nail; has a lifetime love affair with labor unions; and was the only Republican senator to vote for a bill allowing the International Criminal Court to try American soldiers -- an attack on our sovereignty so heinous even John F. Kerry voted against it."

don't know if you read the article, but wow, to support specter and not toomey... that's a leap. Thanks for sending that... it was so long ago.. I am looking for a factual or even editorial opinion, that the successor to Specter on the Judiciary committee would have been a conservative, who would have made those same votes, by which sanctimonium justifies his endorsement. I have been googling some really tortured search items but so far getting nothing back... but I have a real sense what you say, based on your expertise, is valid... I just need to find it to make whatever I write unassailable. At the risk of presuming on your generosity, if you can point me in any direction to do that, I would greatly appreciate it... thanks again.

This may be one of the most important articles you will ever read about Newt Gingrich, and there have been many. It takes 15 minutes to read (I timed it). Surely, in perilous times such as this, we can each use 15 of our minutes to learn and understand more about a great leader.

Then, if you would like to help Newt become President:

"You got that right Red Steel. Newt knows the Capitol Building like the back of his hand. Knows where the back room meetings take place. Who runs them and how the maneuvering is done. Newt is every Congress persons worst nightmare. He knows how the place runs and he knows how to get things done there. It will be very hard to snow President Gingrich when he takes over the Oval Office."

You forgot one: Newt knows where all the bodies are buried.. VOTE FOR NEWT - when only the very BEST Bastard will do..
