Millions are out of work, tens of millions more are living in poverty and struggling to feed themselves, the government is printing trillions of dollars to stay afloat, yet our First Lady has determined that it is prudent to take a vacation, on average, once every two and a half months at taxpayer expense.
The day I took office, one of my commitments to the people was that we would do a better job here in Washington in rooting out wasteful spending at a time when families have cut back and have had to make some tough decisions…

Anybody else remember how CBS, in particular, slammed Bush for his trips to Crawford? He was the always the “on vacation” president. Granted CBS WAS the network that used forged documents to try and get Kerry elected.
Still...
The atitude of the media has kinda changed. Obama can do no wrong...his wife is entitled, and the King himself gets to play as much golf as he wants...and nary a word.

I noticed her fanny has shrunk dramatically for campaign season. I assume we ante’d up for the lipo too.
The Obamas are nothing but Chicago grifters, but they’ve pulled off one hell of a sting.

Oh I remember it very well.
They even had video clips of Dubya lugging cut brush from his yard all the while yelping like hyenas that Dubya was taking yet another “vacation”.
All we can hope is that Americans see this constant vacationing in November. It’s not that the President, or his family, don’t have a right to vacation. It’s the constant hypocrisy that grates.
I’ll give her a pass on the trip to South Africa and Botswana. That was, at least, an “Official First Lady” type trip to tout the administration line and act as goodwill ambassador. True, it was funded by taxpayer money, too, but it was not out of line with past First Lady endeavors.
As for the rest...the skiing trip vacations, in particular, rate a major ugh. I’m not saying skiing is necessarily an exclusive sport for the wealthy, but two weeks in Vail doesn’t come cheaply, even without Secret Service protection. Very hypocritical for an administration constantly harping about shared sacrifice and whatnot.
Also, 48 million are on food stamps in this country (many of them illegals). That's approximately 1 out 7 people. Meanwhile Moochelle is maxing out the mooch factor with a long weekend in Aspen after returning only a few weeks ago from an extended Xmas vacation in Hawaii.
Can we please get off the Mother-in-Law living in the White House criticism?

There are millions of reasons to criticize Moochelle and her man-child husband. This isn’t one of them.
Today Breathless Ann Compton of ABC led her report on skyrocketing gas prices, and said (quote) 'theres very little any president can do singlehandedly to control gas prices'.
Once again I nearly busted a major artery screaming 'Keystone pipeline' at the radio.
If Republicans can’t make that point in the campaign, they deserve to lose.
Today we have the internet, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, etc.
The days of the MSM controlling the conversation are long over.
I didn't know that 'others' had lived there too.
Regardless, we elected a person as president...not their extended family.
Republican or Democrat, I don't like it.
Now, go be rude with someone else.
The problem the elite media had was they hated Crawford, TX. They had to stay in Waco and trek out to the ranch ... Bush had the last laugh ... he knew they hated it. Particularly in the blazing heat of a Texas summer.
By the way I've been to Crawford ... not much to see.

I suppose you would prefer Laura would have sent her mom to live in a nursing home. Not me. I would take my mother in any day. Now a sibling, no.

There were a couple other trips that technically weren’t vacations. A shopping trip to Paris with a large entourage, the trip in Air Force One to NYC to take Moose out to dinner.
Leave it at that.
And there’s not one obama worshipper who will see anything wrong with moochelle jet setting all over the world. To them it’s like god’s wife needs a break from all the work she’s doing helping humanity.
Unfortunately, that sentence is the furthest thing from the reality of it.

The overriding reason why the press covers for Obama is race. They don't want to see the first black president fail and they will do anything in their power to see that doesn't happen. Mooshell is hoping she can have four more years of publicly paid multimillion-dollar vacations, designer wardrobes, private celebrity entertainment and gourmet food. Get Out of Our House (GOOOH)

Many, many years ago

This may be 16 extended vacations, but she has gone on probably 116 little ones.
Between the two of them they don’t sit on the ground long enough to get the tires changed on their airplanes.
If you believe that, you are admitting defeat.
We have powerful tools that did not exist 15 yrs ago.

Me thinks those numbers need some updating...
True they no longer completely control the information available out there. But they still determine the agenda. A scandal will not develop in the public consciousness unless the MSM beats the drum.
The GOP will need to deal with them sooner or later, or the GOP will disappear.
