I’d say from the Israeli perspective...which should be the
perspective of the west realistically, there are no “diplomatic” scenarios. Diplomacy to Iran is merely
a tactic to delay any military action. They have no intentions of stopping their program or giving up the quest
for canned sunshine. Diplomatic conversations with Iran
should only be undertaken by the west as a part of and
cover for other actions. You don’t argue with a rabid dog.
You might try to distract it while you grab your gun but the
ultimate goal is the elimination of the rabid dog.

You are right. Diplomacy was over years ago. They are just waiting for the right time. There are “windows’ in which the Israelis are going to strike. you have to take in weather and other factors. Have they chosen a particular time to commence in operations I think so.

In the old days of warfare the commander took into account three things:1. Time of Day 2.Locality and 3.Weather

Israel can certainly set back Iran’s nuclear ambitions for several years.

They can take it out totally if they are willing to go all out to do so.

I thought up until recently that Israel would make a pre-emptive strike.
I now think it more likely that The Great Middle East War will begin with a missile
barrage against Israel from Gaza, Lebanon and Syria. With so many bio and chem
weapons having been unleashed upon the world because of the Arab spring fiasco
it will be too tempting to use the liberated Libyan and Syrian weapons and so
they will be fired at Israel.

Israel will respond with a barrage of neutron weapons to kill everything near
all enemy launch sites. Rinse/repeat as needed.

Israel will then take off the gloves, she will at that moment stand on the world stage
as a strategic equal with the USA, Russia, China and France in the ability to deliver
city buster thermonuclear weapons on any city in the world. Israel has the nuclear
stockpile and the delivery systems to place them directly on any location. the fact that
Russia has far more deliverable nuclear weapons only means they can make the rubble
bounce longer...it does not mean their arsenal is more powerful since Israel can
if pushed destroy all large Russian cities.

Israel will point the finger of blame for the use of the chem/bio weapons at Iran
since it will be Iran’s proxies firing them.

Israel will IMO at this point utterly destroy south Lebanon and the major cities of
Syria and Iran. You simply do not get to walk away from an attempt to once again
gas the Jews.

The great danger at this point, with Iran, Syria and Lebanon destroyed is that Russia
could make the mistake of moving against Israel... this would be the start of a world war.

Israel cannot afford to let Iran go nuclear. However, Iran IS going nuclear.

Once Iran has a nuclear bomb, it will use it against Israel. Israel cannot absorb a nuclear first strike, so it must stop Iran by force.

When Israel strikes Iran, all of the countries that surround Israel will strike Israel.

Israel cannot afford to fight any kind of protracted war. Israel will have to put a stop to the war against it immediately. It will strike its neighboring countries with a devastating blow. It will use a limited version of its Samson option. It will use nuclear weapons.

The war will probably take place this year. The war will surely take place within the next 18 months. This war will be the prophesied Psalm 83 War.

“When you’re even more anti-Israel than the Germans, what does that tell you?”

I recently had the weirdest exchange with a German national at a military installation in the “O” club where I was buying drinks for USA pilots using my companies’ equipment.

Basically, he opined the primary mistake the Nazis made was being anti-semetic, and that they should have embraced the Jewish Germans, because the brightest ideas come from the combinations of Germans and Jewish peoples, and thus would have been able to take over the world.

I just kind of nodded and got the heck out of there.

In Ezekiel 38 that the biblical “Gog” will lead the coalition of nations into battle on the mountains of Israel. It is in the early stages of this battle that God makes His presence known and supernaturally ends this great battle by destroying these invading forces led by Gog who is ruling over the land of MaGog. It’s believed that this is Russia.

Thanks sukhoi-30mki.
Hans Rühle, who directed the planning department of the German Defense Ministry between 1982-1988, expressed confidence that Israel's air force could decimate Iran's principal nuclear installations. The core differences surround the number of Israeli jets and bombs required to destroy Iran's primary nuclear facilities, as well as the challenge of refueling fighter planes to travel a distance of more than 1,000 miles into Iranian airspace and return safely to Israel... a comprehensive Israel-based bombing campaign could significantly set back, perhaps a decade or more, Iran's nuclear weapons program... According to Rühle, there are 25 to 30 facilities in Iran used for its atomic program, of which six are primary-bombing targets... "Rühle is highly confident that Israel could knock out Iran's nuclear program for a decade or more with about 25 of its 87 F-15 fighter-bombers and a smaller number of its F-16s. Each of the F- 15s would carry two of the GBU-28 bunker busters, with the F-16s armed with smaller bombs..."
The IAF would deliver the bombs, and if need be ditch planes in the Indian Ocean, recovering the pilots by ship or sub. Success on this mission would compensate for the loss of some planes. Of course, accomplishing the mission and returning safely to Israel would rub some salt in the wounds, and would be preferred. :') Some sidebars: and from deep in the FRchives:
