Is Media Matters Obama's Watergate? - Jarrett, Dunn the new Ehrlichman? White House, PIs.
The American Spectator ^ | February 21, 2012 | Jeffery Lord

Posted on 02/21/2012 4:09:14 AM PST by Cincinatus' Wife

......................."So. Media Matters, we learn, is having weekly strategy calls with the White House, they meet with Obama aide Jarrett and ex-aide Dunn, who returned to the White House for the meeting after she departed. Anita Dunn also "became a regular presence" in the Media Matters offices, the then-president of Media Matters "lunched with her, met with her and chatted with her frequently on any number of occasions."

And what else? What raises the specter of Tony Ulasewicz?

This. From Media Matters' Karl Frisch:

"We should hire private investigators to look into the personal lives of Fox News anchors, hosts, reporters, prominent contributors, senior network and corporate staff."

Now. Not to put too fine a point on it, but this is exactly the behavior that got Tony Ulasewicz parked in a chair in front of the Senate Watergate Committee, sitting under the hot klieg lights staring into television cameras on July 18, 1973. Being grilled by Tennessee Republican Senator Howard Baker and liberal Connecticut Republican Senator Lowell Weicker. Ulasewicz proved to be a hilarious witness, his breezy descriptions of delivering cash in paper sacks finally causing his interrogators to laugh. But in light of what we now know about Karl Frisch, David Brock, the relationship of Media Matters to White House aide Jarrett, ex-White House aide Dunn and the money paying for Media Matters' operations, it's worth a look back at some of Baker and Weicker's grilling of Tony. Because in the end, what Tony was talking about helped send John Ehrlichman to jail -- and force Richard Nixon to resign on threat of impeachment:"..............

Never happen. With Watergate the media saw their opportunity to take down a president they hated. Things have changed. Today, the ministry of propaganda INSTALLED the current regime and will do anything to protect Obama, his thugs, and his handlers. It doesn't matter that at least 2 American agents and HUNDREDS of innocent Mexican civilians have been murdered by guns supplied by the Obama regime to the drug cartels.

Nothing will come of any of it.

"Nonpartisan" media greatly influence the vote -- all media not just the "news" media.

Media Smatters the "nonpartisan" media observer serves the "nonpartisan" mainstream media.

The majority apolitical Americans "learn" the way things are from these mainstream shows and make decisions for whom to vote.

The media matter.

I am an avid radio listener and have been for decades. I do not have a TV.

Take CoastToCoastAm.. please!

Yes it can be kooky occasionally but it is the most listened-to night time show and going on twelve years it is still bashing the whole Bush family, especially GW, and has prohibited any criticism of Barack Obama except for a recent discussion of the NDAA. Just in the past two weeks C2C Saturday (host John Wells) had four hours of bashing/blaming GW.

Swoon over Obami.

The weekday host George Noory claims to be "nonpartisan," still calls for the prosecution of George Bush, and until the past couple of months has stopped guests from criticizing Obama. Once Noory got furious (literally) at Professor John Lott for not addressing Obama as PRESIDENT! Obama (August 2010 or August 2011, I believe).

A lot of people dismiss C2C as looney but it does have a huge audience and influence.

To be fair, C2C is definitely not always looney and George Noory is an excellent professional -- it is just that he will not admit his bias for PRESIDENT! Obama claiming instead that we have to address him as PRESIDENT! out of respect for the office -- all the while for twelve years he and guests regularly call George Bush every name in the book but rarely President. Go figure.

Noory once dedicated a telephone line specifically for callers to report REPUBLICAN voter fraud (election 2004 or 2006, I believe) after a couple of shows about the CEO of a company that makes voting machines was a Republican.

Yes C2C has conservative guests on to discuss threats to America including "global conspiracies" so it is not like a dailycuss thing. In my day Noory would be a FDR Democrat, a patriot and all, just hates Republican Daddy Warbucks.

not joking either.

Then ,man could be heard on camera saying take down that white bit## Palin and tell Holder to ignore the black panthers we’;ll have outside voting booths this year. We have to get this election and to hell with the laws, we can do this guys, this country has been run by too many white Christian trash.

I guarantee that this MSM will still cover for him, hell look at their gun running, we have the Govt giving guns to drug lords who in turn kill including our border agents and when caught they say nothing, they plead the 5th and then hamper the investigation , just like their green energy pay offs to their donors with tax money

“Yes, the left identified ‘ownership’ of the media as a route to power, and they were correct. The only way to dismantle their lock on the media is to create new media outlets that outcompete the old media and destroy them economically.”

I humbly disagree. The only way to dismantle the left’s lock on the media is to do to them what they do to us. You expose them by forcing them to report on things like, why are there 5000 people on George Stephanopoulus’ lawn every Saturday? Why is Chris Matthews getting harrassed when going to dinner? Why is David Brock once again in a mental hospital?

The left will have to report on the right doing this and being too radical. People will then ask, why?

That is how you bring it all down?

I have to agree the Media is bad.

However the Congress cannot be excused for going along with everything the clown Prince does. There is no excuse for Congress giving up their power to Obama. I speak to the Recess appointments. Neither party has launched a full fledged attack against this usurption of Congressional powers. Both parties should be up in arms over that as it is a violation of the Constitution and will allow future Presidents to do it again.

The Health Care bill is a Travesty, it gives the Secretary of Healh and Human Services dictatorial powers over the lives of citizens. Yet no one utters a word in defense of the rights of the Congress to establish laws.

We send a Carrier group to defend oil going through the straits of Hormuz, yet refuse to build a pipeline to canada.

Wesebd 15 Billion dollars to Brazil to explore for oil off their coastline while we cut off drilling in the Gulf, and all the while Chiona has bought the Brazil oil.

Yet our Congress sits on its’ ass and let’s this Faux President do anything he likes.

Yes the Media is the enemy of America, but they have a huge amount of Cowards, traitors, and lily livered politicians of both parties who are allowing him to screw over us.

Obama is certainly no more guilty than Pelosi, Biden, Hoyer, Reid, Boehner and Mitch McConnell. They were elected to protect us from a dictatorship and they are enabling that dictatorship.

It doesn’t matter, as most of the two thirds of our citizens who get their news from the LameStream Media will never hear about it, and most of those who do will say “so what, what’s a Media Matters, anyway?”.

Of the remainder, 30% or more will approve anything the marxist in Chief does anyway. Got to beat those judgemental, mean spirited conservatives, don’tcha know!

Worse; we don't even have to build it, just permit it to be built.

...the republican senate gave him a pass...

"Clinton was acquitted by the Senate on February 12, 1999. With a two-thirds majority required for conviction (i.e., 67 senators), only 45 senators (out of 100) voted guilty on the perjury charge and 50 on the obstruction charge. Clinton was, thus, 17 votes shy of being removed from office on the later charge.

The voting in the House and Senate was largely partisan. In the House, only five Democratic Representatives voted to impeach. In the Senate, which had 55 Republican Senators, none of the Democratic Senators voted for conviction."- WIKI

So, 10 Senate Republicans broke ranks on one charge, and five on the other. That's not quite giving a pass. But not a single RAT senator broke ranks; that IS a pass!
