Actually it sees to me that he isn’t the one stumbling into a trap so much as those who have suddenly decided to take the leftist position of silencing Christianity.
Exactly! How can these hypocrites say, "Get the government out of our bedrooms" yet want the taxpayer to sanction their immorality? How can the public "stay out of their bedrooms" when they insist on taking us there?!
Typical retort by the twisted logic of a pervert. Is this like the child who becomes “homophobic” after he was molested by a Mr. Sandusky or the woman who is raped and crusades against the practice? Clearly, with the exceptions cited, fear is not the issue with normal people; the word is disgust with deviant behavior whether it pertains to same-sex relations with children, animals, or the dead. This sickness grows more bold in demanding that others, not just accept, but exalt said behavior as normal. If there is any concern with public health, then let it be understood that male homosexuals are the #1 vector for the spread of infectious diseases among humans and are an unnecessary public health threat costing the system billions. Male homosexuals have the highest incidence of HIV/AIDS, syphilis, drug-resistant gonorrhea, entamoeba histolytica, chlamydia, herpes simplex II, Chancroid, Drug Resistant TB, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis non A & B, just to name a few.

That question is far too direct. The preferred form is one that’s already been asked (at debate #987589.07785, part 2, I believe), i.e. “Do you you think the majority decided correctly in Griswold?” If you answer no, it means not only do you favor outlawing contraceptives, but you have been actively pushing for a ban on the federal level. That’s how the game is played.

We don’t have to silence Christianity, any more than talk of football, the art of renaissance Italy, or trigonometry. I am not like the liberal banishing faith from the public square. I just don’t want precious campaign time wasted on irrelevancies. And, yes, it is irrelevant. For however much Santorum or anyone else’s faith influences his ideology, it doesn’t do so enough to justify him and us sacrificing energy to defend it when we could be infinitely more strategic.
Simpson is the perfect example of why RINOs are completely useless in and out of office.
They can be counted on to disappoint when the rubber meets the road.

Simpson, Dole, McCain, Lugar, and many other old time Republicans began their congressional career at a time when “go along to get along” was the guiding rule. Most of their time was spent in the minority and they became comfortable and prospered in that role. They developed a loyalty to the institution rather than to the people who elected them. Those republicans like Gingrich, Santorum, DeMint, Coburn, and a few others who dare to play by a different set of rules are a greater threat to their existence than is any democrat.
Most straight men I know think homosexual acts with 2 men are disgusting. So what. As long as people are treated with respect.
