What's their problem with Romney? (Ann Coulter's meltdown continues...)
Human Events ^ | 2/22/12 | Ann Coulter

Posted on 02/22/2012 4:58:31 PM PST by jimbo123

-snip-

The entire NFM (non-Fox media) hate Romney because he is the only candidate who stands a chance of beating Obama.

Meanwhile, many of the pillars of the conservative establishment also implacably oppose Romney. Fox News is neutral, but its second-highest-rated host, Sean Hannity, is anti-Romney, as is prominent Fox News contributor Sarah Palin -- who has also offered herself up as a possible presidential nominee at a contested convention. (Wouldn't a former candidate for vice president on a major party's ticket be part of the Establishment?)

The No. 1 conservative talk-radio host in America, Rush Limbaugh, is critical of Romney, and another top conservative talk-radio host, Mark Levin, is adamantly against Romney -- though both Limbaugh and Levin supported Romney as the conservative alternative to John McCain in 2008, and Romney has only gotten better since then.

Purely to hurt Romney, the Iowa Republican Party fiddled with the vote tally to take Romney's victory away from him and give it to Rick Santorum -- even though the "official count" was missing eight precincts. Isn't the party apparatus of a state considered part of the Establishment?

I'm not sure what part of the Establishment supports Romney.

She asks What’s their problem with Romney?

We all know Ms. Coulter is not a very good listener.

So much to pick apart, but if she thinks Romney is better this time than in 2008, she is proven to be crazy. He has run from the base this time, whereas last time he was committed to winning the base. This time, he is pure status quo. A slight improvement from Obama but not enough
To change our path significantly. He trying too hard to please everyone and alienate no one.

Ann Coulter’s Human Events article can be best described as neither logical, analytic, or coherent.

Ann, read my lips; “Post hoc, ergo propter hoc.” [Latin: “After this event, therefore because of this event.”]

This is what you wrote and it is unworthy of you.

He has no core convictions
He isn’t a conservative
He isn’t authentic
He is in a cult
He is the perfectly positioned punching bag for Obama

To sum it up Ann, either way with Mitt, we lose!

Which only goes to show how really stupid the McCain choice was. IMHO!

He is in a cult

I'm a generic Protestant ... I've worked for and with Mormons ... many were my clients. No one ever tried to covert me ... in fact, one served as my mentor early on in my career ... and, I was very successful. My point, to imply that Romney, is part of a cult because he's Mormon, is incredibly misinformed and utterly stupid on your part. They are some of the most productive, hard working, patriotic Americans I've known ...

I suggest you learn the difference between a cult and the people trapped in it. I am completely informed about both and I can also distinguish between them.

I just unsubscribed to Ann’s twitter feed. I do not know what has happened to her. First she said that Muslim-loving Christie who lowers the flag for Whitney Houston was our only hope. Now she is apparently having an affair with Romney. No other explanation.

I was lucky when I went with friends to the Morman HQ in Utah...didn’t leave my address or phone. My friends all got conversion visits from the Morman kooks...and they wanted my friends to out me as to where I lived. If Romney gets the nod, we’ll learn that Mormans rejected all of historic Christianity until their boy heard voices all by himself out in the woods. Restoring “Christianity” meant that a whole new book had to be written to validate “Christianity.”
Ask a Morman who Jesus Christ is and they may know enough about the religion to tell you he is from another planet and they get the same chance to become God at the Jesus level. We simply can NOT give the Democrats fodder like this.

I heard her one night on Red Eye talking about Romney. If she is so sure about his conservatism, how come she felt the need to get in his face and say something to the effect of “You damn well better govern as conservatively as I have said you will”?

Why won't the mormons stop coming to my door? I tell them I'm a Christian and they want to argue with me.

Why do they want to now call themselves Christians? They are mormons, and if embarrassed about being mormon quit their church, but don't try to attach yourself to Christians.

Wait until obama tells the world:

mormon slander Jesus by saying Jesus is satan’s spiritual brother.

They believe their god was once a mortal man who was born on some planet out in the Universe and there lived a good and worthy life. Their god, however, is only one god of millions of gods who rule planets out in the Universe. After being born a mortal man on a planet out in space he lived a life faithful to the god of his planet....

They believe they are gods and when they die could get there own planet to be god of.

That's only a few things they believe

Apparently her female eyes see something in Romney that I don't. When I see him all that comes to mind is Plastic Man. He seems fake and insincere to me and his record supports it. He is in fact, a northeastern moderate that borders more on liberal, and will say whatever he has to to get votes.

He has been running for 6 years with a myriad of flip-flops and his desperation shows. I think maybe Ann has a brain tumor or something if she honestly believes he is what we need.

That's nice but it doesn't make them Christians and from everything I read, they can be best described as a religious cult.

No way will Mittens commit political suicide if he wins the nomination.
Do you know how fast America would get sick of listening to that pompous tub Christie?

Yep.
Bottom line: Conservatives do not trust Mitt Romney.
If Ann was the slightest bit into due diligence, she would frequent Free Republic and read threads like this one:

Governor Romney, "Were you lying then, or are you lying now?"

I wonder what could motivate her to overlook the disastrous record that romney has. Everyone talks about the Olympics rather than his destruction of the MA economy when he was actually in a position to govern. The Olympics were a coordinated effort to provide him with an easy win scenario as a means of self promotion into politics. Anyone with half a brain could see that, given the community and contacts involved with the operation. I dismiss it entirely.

As governor of MA his record is pure liberal disaster.

That's what we don't like, and is the benchmark by which we judge him and find him absolutely unacceptable.

No, Ann. Sarah Palin is not part of the Establishment. The Establishment, including the conservatives, has made abundantly clear over the last four years that they don’t consider her one of them. Watching how the campaign has unfolded, I think it’s clear that’s a greater loss for them than for her.
