I think Rush is right!
Yep, and Rush is schooling the Rombot fanboys and fangirls calling in to his show today trying to diss CONSERVATIVES, Rick & Newt.
Yes, and they have been for months.
Hopefully, paulbots will now understand Paul is not who they think he is.
Yes he is
If -- I repeat, IF -- there is a brokered convention, there is little doubt in my mind that Ron Paul will "release" his delegates to support Romney.
But "conditionally," as Rush seems to surmise.
It all stinks to high heaven!
I did not watch the debate last night out of several reasons. One was I have already chosen my candidate for whom I will vote on March 6, and I don’t need to watch a dumb debate by the Communist News Network to make up my mind. Two is the failure of the moderator (as reported on Fox and Friends this morning) not to bring up the high gas prices and the Fast and Furious scandal
Does anyone really have any doubt?
There is no grand conspiracy here.
Newt had the audacity to try to remove Ron Paul from his house seat by throwing support behind a converted democrat.
Santorum has attacked Paul on multiple positions.
Romney, as the front runner, has enough sense to not attack down, and as such has done nothing to make Ron Paul attack back.
Rush is one to talk. He took McCain/Palin out in 2008 with a total lack of support for the GOP candidates and did so for personal reasons as McCain and Rush have a total dislike and disrespect for one another. I am sure that he calculated higher ratings with Obama in the White House rather then McCain. Don’t doubt me.
I posted the following on two other threads a this morning and have been posting this as a possibility for quite a while but after last nights debate and todays statements by Rand Paul I do believe it may be a done deal.
Youve got it. I believe they have a deal. Paul and his PAC has attacked any candidate that appears to challenge Romney. What would be in the deal for Romney? Ron Paul would not only make the attacks on any candidate threatning Romney, but would agree to not only not run as a third party candidate but to endorse Romney. Whats in it for Paul? Romney puts Rand Paul on the ticket as VEEP. RP sees his son carrying on his legacy. Rand Paul lied about breaking news to get on the Hannity radio show to read a letter he had written denigrating Newt. Rand Paul would meet the geographic critera for a veep selection as being from Ky. which is far enough South and as being perceived to have Conservative and Tea Party support.
I just read this morning on Fox Nation where Rand Paul says he would be receptive to an offer to be Romneys VEEP. I believe this may be a new emergency strategy to pull some Ron Paul support from Ron to the faltering Romney and possibly some Tea Party and Conservative from Santorum after his poor performance in last nights debate.
I think this is a possible scenario and is likely being carried out. I think they all three are slimey and unprincipled enough to do this
Bingo! You nailed it
Scarborough: This Romney-Paul alliance is pretty weird, isnt it?
Could be. Many weeks ago someone called Rush’s show suggesting that to prevent Ron Paul from running third Party pulling away needed votes, (like Perot) that Rand Paul could be picked as VP running mate. Now at the time Perry and Cain were still in, but the theory still applies.
Rush has always supported Palin.
Btw, welcome to Free Republic.
Is Rand Paul as nutty as his father? I don’t knw that I can support a Romney/Paul ticket.
I agree that he has supported Palin but what I meant is that Rush did not support the GOP ticket in 2008 and I lost respect for him for de-energizing the base.
McCain did not support the GOP ticket in 2008. I wouldn’t be surprised if he went into the booth and cast a vote for Obama.
Yes, Rand is no different than Ron.
What Rush are you talking about?
