I read that 20% of them get benefits amounting to $30K or more.
Incredible.
what the left ultimately wants
It did exactly as it was supposed to do...........LBJ KNEW what he was doing and did it anyway...........
We were a Great Society; spiritual, responsible, self-sufficient and understood the value of individual effort.
LBJ turned some Americans into a GREEDY society; materialistic, lazy, selfish and without conscience. Those who contribute are becoming angry and resentful of those who take without consequence or respect.
Divide and destroy.
Yes, LBJ you SOB.
And let's not forget the words of wisdom from LBJ as he signed it into law (and this is an actual quote so don't flame me!): "I'll have them niggers voting democrat for years"
Exactly right. Radicals and commies have been fighting to destroy civilization, the established order, family and religion since the late 1700s. Their “long march” is almost complete.
Before I clobber any of my lib friends with that quote I’d like to know upon what ground I’m standing. Can you point me toward a reference for that quote ?
I don’t doubt you...just wanna make sure I’m speaking facts.
thanks
joe
Really? How many of those were actually Americans?
That quote is generally accepted as being from LBJ;
it was reported by someone in the meeting,
but it is not documented.
Clobber ‘em anyway. If they challenge you on it, ask them if the actual results are different from what the quote implies.
Absolutely YES.
The most damaged segment of society: The African-American family.
Sorry, wrong thread.
LBJ knew if you robbed Peter to pay Paul, you could count on Paul's vote...
The “War on Poverty” is a quagmire.
The income tax code is structured such that, if you’re clever and have the ambition to work it, you can attain some moderate wealth... UP TO A POINT.
They really start slamming you when you get into an income range that would allow you to “break through”. They take away nearly all the deductions and you’re slammed with a huge tax bill that “keeps you in your place”.
Now, the very rich have some very narrow tax shelters unavailable to the “upstarts”, and that protects their wealth and protects the wealthy’s elite status.
-—Absolutely YES.
The most damaged segment of society: The African-American family-—
True. And despite that fact, it enjoys unanimous support among blacks.
