Chelsea Clinton planning to stay on at NBC; insiders, critics wonder why

Being the daughter of a former President and the current Secretary of State certainly has its perks.
Despite poor marks for her reportorial performance it looks like Chelsea Clinton is preparing to renew her contract with NBC News.
According to insiders familiar with negotiations, the Stamford and Columbia graduate is poised to extend her contract with the network to work on special segments for the shows “Rock Center” and “Nightly News,” a move that has media watchers confused.
“She has done a bunch of warm and fuzzy stories that haven’t gotten any kind of critical appreciation but she does have that Clinton name,” US Weekly senior television editor April Bernard told Fox411. “Critics say she doesn’t dig deeply enough as a reporter. She is amateurish and green. She also isn’t charismatic on camera which is surprising because her dad is so appealing. It is just hard to watch her and know she is there because of who she is.”
If it’s hard for the audience, it is even harder on some NBC veterans.

From what I remember of the commentary at the time from other students at Stanford; she rarely attended classes, spent much of her time travelling, overseas and getting gutter crawling drunk. Many of those interviewed at the time said they couldn’t figure out how she passed any of her classes much less graduate. Her degrees were a sham, the same as her “scholarship”.
Well, maybe if your thing happens to be upper middle-aged sex perverts with bulbous noses who sound like they have chronic sinus conditions.
The OWS idiots won’t diss her, she’s one of them and they are one with her. Most of them are also spoiled little rich kids who sneak away to shower, eat, and get more money from their wealthy socialist democrat parents.

If I recall correctly...early in the 2008 presidential campaign, Michelle's old hospital position was ABOLISHED by the hospital.
It’s hard for anyone to watch because of her looks. I remember a time when one had to have good looks to be on T.V. And I liked that time.

If Chelsea works hard at NBC, in forty years she might develop into a more annoying, even homelier version of Andrea Mitchell.
