The prognosis for Ischemic brain injuries like this is poor. The only ray of hope may be that his head was kept cold. Freezing is often used as a treatment option for these kind of brain injuries. It makes the chance of recovery a bit higher.

Last year, my one-year old grandson went into cardiac arrest and was without oxygen for over 20 minutes. As a result, he is in a permanent vegetative state. He is still in the hospital. He will be two this April.

Anyhow, hope the Prince is able to have a meaningful recovery.

How tragic, you and your family have my most sincere prayers. Our middle son was born with a heart defect and almost died at 10 days of age, he had Wolf Parkinson & White syndrome tachycardia.
