I would consider it an act of war, actually. So, what do we do now, Madame Secretary?

The continued advising and training mission becomes impossible with the likelihood that if our troops are in the minority and exposed they may be killed by Afghan troops.
It seems that we are getting a lot of sand kicked in our face lately.

It’s a strange coincidence that Afghan’s apology appears right after Newt calls for it, and knocks the President because he apologised first.

Now that Obama has apologized and the Afghans have extended their heartfelt apologies, what better time to pack up and go home. What’s our mission there again? The next time somebody wants to “nation build” in a place where 8th century values prevail, send 30,000 laptops with a good internet connection instead of 30,000 American troops.

Details on apology via the AP:

SNIP

In a written statement, Defense Secretary Leon Panetta’s press secretary said Afghan Defense Minister Wardak called Panetta on Saturday to offer his condolences and to apologize.

“Secretary Panetta appreciated the call and urged the Afghan government to take decisive action to protect coalition forces and curtail the violence in Afghanistan after a challenging week in the country,” spokesman George Little said.

He said Wardak told Panetta that Afghan President Hamid Karzai was assembling religious leaders, parliamentarians, Supreme Court justices and other senior officials “to take urgent steps” to stop the violence.

“unacceptable”

Yeah, that’s putting it mildly.

Say, how are those peace talks going with the Taliban, Hillary?

America should go on the offensive.

Everytime one of ours is killed, we have Koran burning parties.

I hate the word “unacceptable” and don't have a good opinion of those who use it!

Take all of our korans in our supply system, wrap them in a bacon bow-tie and air drop them all over that rotten hellhole.

That would be phase 0.....that is all I have in planning for now.

“Taliban insurgents claimed responsibility for the shooting, saying it was in revenge for the burning of Korans at a US-run military base — an incident that earlier prompted US President Barack Obama to apologize to the Afghan people.”

They didn’t even burn the damned things. They just almost did.

I couldn’t read further due to nausea. What, if anything, was done with the gunman?
