It’s not just us anymore...
First thing they would need is bigger lakes.
You beat me to that one.
Not sure where Wyoming will park an aircraft carrier, but hey, building it ought to stimulate the economy. Maybe every state should buy one.
Lol. Perhaps the bill needs some tweaking, but they might be on the right track.
Maybe I should encourage my husband to take a call to Wyoming...
Every state should have contingency plans in place, and if they can have them in place before November they would be extremely wise.
bump for later
Good deal, I will have to thank my rep.
Could zero let some bad guys pull some stunt and use it to toss what remains of the constitution out the window...and declare martial law?
I wouldn’t put it past him to let some bad guys get past our defenses...
Someone is thinking ahead.A novel by Boston T. Party (Kenneth W. Royce)
Book Description:
After a decade of retaking their stolen freedoms, the people of Wyoming (many of them newcomers) are forced to finally confront their jealous masters in the U.S. Government. Can a lone, courageous state successfully resist federal tyranny, or has the Bill of Rights been reduced to a myth? Can an allegedly free people act free, or is our liberty just a 4th of July farce?
These issues weigh heavily on the shoulders of Governor James Wayne Preston, a decorated Desert Storm Marine helo pilot. Elected in 2014 on the Laissez-Faire Party ticket, he enjoys nearly full support of the legislature to return Wyoming to a long-lost era of liberty. But how far can he and the people of his state go before Washington, D.C. feels compelled to act? Will Wyoming's free and independent course reach actual secession? Will President Melvin Connor suppress the maverick Western state with federal troops? Will anybody come to Wyoming's aid?
Molon Labe! is a fictional account of a real-world blueprint for a free state initiative focused on Wyoming. If enough freedom-loving individuals will relocate there under a useful pattern, they can "liberate" the Cowboy State on many levels.
In Wyoming we could truly enjoy our rights of gun ownership, privacy, schooling, health and diet, unrestricted travel, and property. Boston shows us how it actually can be done!
I’m thinking they should have some nuke-tipped ballistic missiles capable of reaching somewhere on the Potomac River...
“... to have the task force also examine conditions under which Wyoming would need to ... acquire ... an aircraft carrier.” — Noah
Saw it on Drudge earlier; was sort of watching for it to show up here. ;-)
Don’t be so greedy.
They can have the Canadian lobe of Huron.
Well, I recall the Canadian show that suggested they didn’t have access to salt water, so why did they need a navy.
Go Wyoming!

I hope it would be coal fired.
I wouldn’t put anything past him.
Preppers’ PING!

Love living in Wyoming ping!
Well, I recall the Canadian show that suggested they didnt have access to salt water, so why did they need a navy.
Canada has a large Atlantic shoreline, borderline New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Price Edwards Island, and Newfoundland-Labrador. They also have all the North American shore of the Arctic Ocean, as well as a nice stretch of Pacific coastline in British Columbia.
But I don’t think that Canada has any air-craft carriers. Maybe Wyoming could trade them an extra carrier for some shoreline-access.
Canada does have a few submarines, and I think that one of them actually works.

I know. That was the joke in asking Americans why Canada needed a navy, since "...they didn't have a salt water port." I'll have to research if they've got a submarine. :-)
“First thing they would need is bigger lakes.”
Hey, we have Yellowstone Lake, it is 20 miles long and 14 miles wide, 320 deep at the deepest. what more do we need?
You need submarine(s) and an aircraft carrier!
Biiiig heaters ... that water stays around 39 degrees, IIRC.
To control rivers and lakes.
Me too! Land of the free....where the West is......Western.

The “Wyoming” aircraft carrier would probably be stationed in the gulf of Mexico and used to Help Shore up Texas’s defense against what is left of the liberal states.
I do believe an aircraft carrier may be a little over kill.Hmmmm...

Maybe some really big wheels. I’m sure some of those monster truck guys could rig something up.
Covering ALL possibilities... (Even Al Gore’s sea level rise)
When you have a $16k taskforce, you get aircraft carriers cruising the Grand Tetons.
Westward Ho!
