Report: It Looks Like Corzine Will Likely Stay Out Of The Slammer
Rob Wile | February 24, 2012
(AP)Dealbreaker's Bess Levin reports (via FoxBusiness) that former MF Global CEO Jon Corzine will not face criminal charges for his role in the firm's diverting of client funds and subsequent collapse.
Sources told FoxBusiness regulators were having "a very tough time" gathering evidence that would have put Corzine in the clinker.

That’s because the “regulators” were likely in on some of this.
Although, you and I both know, that Corzine is an immoral and slimy criminal who deserves to be put away forever, he knew how far he could push and still not technically break the law.
They are under orders not to look too hard.
That slimeball knows where a lot of bodies are buried. If he goes down, do you think he’s going to go down alone?
The fix was in from the beginning. The media is falling neatly into line. He’s off the front page, in a couple months it will be “Corzine who?”
“They aren’t looking hard enough.”
Precisely, and they won’t Jon Corzine, a card carrying member of the ruling elite .01%, remains free to roam one of his five palatial estates after stealing $1.6 billion from the accounts of farmers, widows, and thousands of other clients of MF Global. In his spare time he raises money for Obamas re-election campaign. The Federal government, Federal courts and Wall Street banking cabal have circled the wagons and declared the money just vaporized. No one is being prosecuted for this deliberate thievery. The psychopathic Wall Street criminals have been getting away with murder for so long they act invulnerable to societal mores and scoff at our laws, rules and regulations. Those are for the 99%. When you control the politicians, regulators, courts, and mainstream media, its easy to get away with murder. The jackals and hyenas are laughing in their NYC penthouse suites as they continue to collect $20 million bonuses for a job well done.
Future cellmates arguing about who gets the top bunk?
Corzine steals $1.6 billion and gets off Scott-free;
"Sandy" Berger stuffs his pants with stolen secret documnets - it was just "sloppy";
"Uncle Teddy" drives drunk and drowns a lovely young girl in his car - no action taken;
Bill Clinton rapes a woman - twice - and there's no outcry from women;
Yet "Scooter" Libby gets sentenced for disagreeing with Tim Russert;
and Tom Delay gets convicted for something that wasn't a crime;
Is there a pattern here?
I wonder when Republicans will have "had enough" and storm the corrupt courts and media offices?
Republicans get into office and say things like lets bury the past and work together. Hence the dem criminals stay out of prison and in office.
Sarah Palin fends off 54 bogus "ethics complaints," leaving her with $500,000 in legal debts and is labelled "a quitter."
I'm changing my tagline ...
Money will not buy everything, but it will usually keep you out of jail.
It’s only illegal if you do this while Republican
This nation become a sick joke.
We need to keep these things alive and make sure our children know about them. Right now, many of the younger people are blinded by youthful naivete. They need to see these examples of breathtaking hypocrisy at a point in their lives when their eyes have opened up.
If he was a Republican they would not be having a hard time!!!!!!!!!!!
So we see that John Edwards was right about one thing: There are two Americas.
In the first, a man can go to prison for defending himself against a moocher breaking into his home. Or he can be shot to death at his front door by a SWAT team looking for non-existant drugs. Or he can have his property and wealth stolen by the federal government on some crazed vendetta because he disagreed with an EPA directive.
In the second, a politically connected establishment elite can overtly violate multiple laws, steal millions of dollars from bilked investors and not even receive a slap on the wrist from the legal system.
It’s all fixed. The only reason this is happening is because all sides are complicit. DC, NYC, London, etc, both sides are amoral.
Not if Henry Bowman finds him first.....just sayin'.
The fix is in.
Paging Henry Bowman... Still one of the great books. It’s to bad it’s not eBooked. I have 2 hard copies and a PDF file. They do get passed around but I’m pretty careful
Apparently it was “legal” theft.
Obastard’s friends never are charged with their crimes. No surprises.
“The psychopathic Wall Street criminals have been getting away with murder for so long they act invulnerable to societal mores and scoff at our laws, rules and regulations.”
They are indeed psychopaths and are protected by their fellow political psychopaths.

Love that book. I had two copies but sold one to my manager. I kept the autographed one. :)
(a) Then-US Sen Jon Corzine (D- NJ), used elected office to pass a special tax exemption for a Japanese bank he owned----G/S crony Christopher Flowers---adminstrator of Corzine's "blind trust"--- used Corzine's assets to takeover the Japanese bank. Corzine said he "did not know" the legislation he sponsored benefited him. (God only knows the insider deals he made with other Senators to get the bill passed.
(b) FAST FORWARD---Now Sen is Gov Corzine. He and G/S crony Brad Abelow---who Corzine appointed as NJ Treasury Secy---formed a private investmnent firm. The two financisl geniuses said they "did not know" that move was illegal for govt officials.
(c) Several NJ agencies went bankrupt with huge pots of money under Gov Corzine. $8B went missing from the Schools Bldg fund.
(d) Corzine, Abelow and Flowers---G/S cronies---all ended up at MF Global and presided over the disappearance of $1.2 billion.
All of this is no coincidence. Self- serving Corzine has always been about using public office to personally profit. .
CONGRESS SHOULD BE ALL OVER THIS MF'ers Abelow and Corzine misled Congress on several points
1. When Congress asked Bradley Abelow about "previously working with Corzine," close- mouthed Abelow reluctantly mentioned being Gov Corzine's COS.
2. Abelow MADE NO MENTION of Corzine appointing him to head NJ's Dept of the Treasury--- where the two con artists controlled ALL of NJ's tax assets.
3. Abelow and Corzine SHOULD have been pressed about their formation of an investment company while they were principals of NJ govt and controlled its assets. The two "financial geniuses" said they did not known this was illegal.
4. Abelow also failed to disclose his current position---as chairman of the EPA's Financial Advisory Board. NOTE: The current EPA head also served in Gov Corzine's adminstration.
5. Abelow 's financial activities at EPA need top to bottom investigations. We need to know why Abelow is witholding crucial info. What does he have to hide?
POINTS TO PONDER
<><>Bradley Abelow, an MBA from Yale School of Management, served as chief of Staff to the Governor of New Jersey in the Cabinet of Gov. Jon Corzine.
<><>Corzine first appointed Abelow Secy of the Treasury.
<><>Abelow and Corzine were top executives at Goldman Sachs.
<><>Abelow was MF Global Chief Operating Officer; Corzine was MF's CEO.
<><> G/S alumni Chris Flowers controlled Corzine's "blind trust" while Corzine was in public office Flowers is also an MF principal.
ANALYSIS It defies imagination and common sense that these "financial geniuses" told Congress they can't figure out where the missing $1.2 billion transferred in and out of MF Global continually.....all done by wire transfer------called EFT's. There's a clear record of when, where, and how much for EACH wire transfer......like your cell phone bill. Each call is listed, the number dialed, the time of the call, and the duration.
Corzine and Abelow are making a huge mistake by underestimating the anger of those they left holding the bag----they socked NJ with massive debt, bankrupt state agencies, and a state pension fund 25% lighter, Billions of NJ tax assets are unaccounted for.
SO WHERE IS THE MISSING MF GLOBAL MONIES? Time to connect the dots
<><> Corzine is a well-rounded operator. As Governor, he left the state of NJ $8 billion in debt. $8 billion went missing from one state agency....other agencies like UI and the Transporation Trust Fund went bankrupt with no explanation why. The $82 Billion state pension fund lost about 25%.
<><> OBAMA-CORZINE CONNECTION Right before Corzios reelection, Obama sent $17.5 Billion stimulus to NJ-which promptly vanished. VP Biden is on record as having asked Corzine for financial advice----Biden has a son and a brother involved with the Stanford offshore fraud (Stanford is in jail.)
<><> MF Global principal Brad Abelow was Corzines appointee as NJ Treasury Secycontrolling ALL NJ assets. Gov and Secy started an investment businessbut the two financial geniuses said they did not know this was illegal.
<><> MF Global principal Chris Flowers handled Sen/Gov Corzines blind assets ......Flowers led the takeover of a Japanerse bank for CorzineSen Corzine passed a bill giving the bank a US tax break......said he did not know the bill benefitted him.
<><><><> All three of the above-named MF Global principals are G/S cronies.
<><> Corzine registered three corporations in super-secret financial havenDelawareBEFORE taking office.
<><> Ponzi king Bernie Madoff made a generous contribution to Corzines gubernatorial campaign.
<><> When he went to jail, investigators found Madoff had stashed billions offshore---into a labyrinth of financial entities. Some $8.9 billion was funneled to Madoff through a dozen so-called feeder funds based in Europe, the Caribbean and Central America, ......a labyrinth of hedge funds, management companies and service providers that, to unsuspecting outsiders, seemed to compose a formidable system of checks and balances. But the purpose of this complex architecture was just the opposite: the feeder funds provided different modes for directing money to Madoff in order to avoid scrutiny and generate more fees.
<><><><> Then-Gov Corzine made several highly suspicious trips to Israel when he had no political reason to be there. Israel is the only place in the world where you can take a suitcase full of money to a bank- and noboody asks where it came from. Isreal also has many businesses in NJ funded with grants from NJ state tax coffers-----as well as a NJ-based Israeli Chamber of Commerce.
All of these entities need rigorous investigation.
Obama was desperate for Corzine to get reelected.
Obama pulled out all the stops to get Corzio reelected.....to no avail.
<><>Obama had his WH "geniuses" take full control of Corzines campaign.
<><>Obama campaigned in NJ three times, Biden was there twice.
<><>Obama pro-Corzio TV ads ran relentlessly on costly NY media.
<><>Obama put the power of the WH political machine behind Corzine.
The NY Times reported:
(a) every TV ad Corzine put on the air was being screened by Obamas WH geniuses.
(b) Corzines aides gave the WH daily briefings.
(c) Obamas pollsters took over for Corzines polling team, and,
(d) White House operatives were on the ground for internal strategy sessions.
(e) Obama sent NJ $17.2 billion "stimulus" which promptly disappeared.
(f) secret strategy sessions were held to suckup the latino vote;
(g) a Peruvian PAC endorsed Corzine.
(H) Corzio bragged he had 20,000 paid operatives (union members) on the ground election day, paid to get out the vote in heavily Democrat NJ.
Corzine (former Goldman-Sachs exec) lost handily. Corzine's NJ loss and VA win were the only two 2009 n'wide races held---and both elected Repubs.
Interesting that used copies are mostly in the $200 range and new ones $500.

Both of mine were used from eBay. Yes, I got mine in the $150 range. It’s a cult thing ain’t it.

Just a minor quibble here:
Corzine stole 1.6 BILLION, according to the latest estimates.
I don't want the magnitude of Corzine's crime to be low-balled.
Thank you, and now back to our regular programming...
Hopefully, he’ll spend the rest of his life embroiled in “claw-back” litigation where the burden of proof is less stringent.
It isn't Democrat vs. Republican - it's Insiders vs. Outsiders. DeLay was acting as an outsider, taking shots at the establishment. You'll never see an Olympia Snowe or a Richard Lugar or a John McCain getting charged with these types of offenses, either.
I don't know. I bought mine new when it was published at $28.95! I've only read it once and I've forgotten much of the detail so I'm not even sure what it specifically has to do with Corzine. (Things I remember most are the guy from the Warsaw Ghetto, and the guy who comes back from South Africa - I think - after being stationed there for work for several years and finds out that so many things have become illegal in such a short time.) I've been thinking about rereading it for a while now.
