What do you make of this? From the little I have read about the lady she is severely lacking in leadership skills.
But I guess she knows how to count heads.
It makes no sense to me. Labor has chosen electoral suicide. That’s about all I can say.
and if Rudd resigns from Parliament, they lose their majority, right?
A by-election would be held for his seat. It’s a fairly safe Labor seat and they would expect to retain it but if they lost it to a conservative candidate, Labor would probably fall.
How soon will they have elections?
Ia this good?
Well, it means we have a totally incompetent Prime Minister for potentially the next 18 months, as opposed to a semi-competent one, so that isn’t good.
But the good news is that the electorate basically agrees - Gillard has virtually no chance of leading Labor to victory at the end of 2013 - Rudd might have been able to resurrect their chances.
Basically, by the start of 2014 I expect us to have a conservative government elected in a landslide - but how much damage can be done before then - that’s the question.
They don’t have to have one until late next year (the last legal date is 30th November 2013). They could have one earlier.
It’s a shame that Australia is going down the socialist road that the not-so-great Britain did years ago.
Need to know how much damage can be done look to our el-Zero for an idea.
Good on ya, Sheila mate!
They still need the right to bear arms there and eliminate globull warming tax.
