Media Matters chief David Brock paid a former domestic partner $850,000 after being threatened with damaging information involving the organizations donors and the IRS a deal that Brock later characterized as a blackmail payment, according to legal documents obtained by FoxNews.com.
In an acrimonious lawsuit settled at the end of last year, Brock accused William Grey of making repeated threats to expose him to the "scorn or ridicule of his employees, donors and the press in demanding money and property." Brock claimed in legal papers that he sold a Rehoboth Beach, Del., home he once shared with Grey in order to meet Greys demands, which he called "blackmail" in the lawsuit.
Former Vacation home of Media Matters Founder David Brock, a converted inn house in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. Brock sold the home in May 2010. The current owner razed the house and divided the plot for two new properties.
Brock, 49, heads the non-profit Media Matters for America, which bills itself as a watchdog of the conservative media but has recently come under fire for allegedly coordinating with Democrats in what could be a violation of its tax-exempt status.
Brocks bitter legal battle with Grey, who is described in a Sept. 14, 2010 police report obtained by FoxNews.com as his domestic partner of more than 10 years, began after Brock began dating Washington, D.C., restaurant impresario James Alefantis about five years ago. For the next three years, Brock and Grey traded angry accusations, which were documented in the police report and were the foundation of a pitched legal battle replete with charges of blackmail, theft and financial malfeasance.

Rehoboth Beach = once a Methodist religious retreat; now New Jersey’s gay riviera.
Uh, Rehoboth Beach is in Delaware.
Angry, snippy, catty pansies.... who woulda thunk it?
That’s Ocean Grove and/or Cape May!
Quite a queer story.

I wonder if Media Matters gets any government funding. I wouldn’t doubt it. Leftist orgs invariably do after all, I heard that even racist La Raza and Open Society Institute (Soros) gets grants.
That photo is downright frightening.
Since Media Matters is a 501(c)(3), donations are tax deductible... So indirectly (getting government support and funding), yes, donations by George Soros to Media Matters are tax deductible.
You are correct. Northerners must take the "ferry" from Cape May.
I meant actually recieving dollars from the government, I hear that-like ACORN- La Raza and the Open Society Institute recieve grants from the US government. Most leftwing organizations seem to.
So I am not referring to them being tax deductible
catty and snippy yes, but isn't there something in the man-code about messing with another guy's stuff? Only a vile creature like Brock would steal his boyfriend's $8k suit bag.
That photo looks photo-shopped to me, his head doesn’t look like it is correctly aligned.
.....bone smugglers on parade...
This could get really interesting.
OK, you set that whole exchange up just so you could use that punchline, right?
The next Republican AG needs to appoint a special counsel, methinks, given the charges of financial impropriety involving a tax-advantaged NGO.
It may be in Maryland, but it is the gay riviera for gays from NJ.
Isn’t young love wonderful?
Only a gay man would pay $8k for a suit bag. They come free with a suit.
Brock ended the relationship when he found out the partner was above the age of consent,
Did I say? Bad Appy, bad. I’m going to spank my wicked, wicked hand.
A couple of disgusting rimmers and felchers have a tiff. What is Brock hiding?? And hey, where is likidicks in all this?? I bet they could hack the media matters site and find out which of these deviants got his panties in a bunch.
Answer me one question: Are male homosexuals men?
Well, Hell never met a "domestic partner" scorned apparently.
And BTW, why is Dan Marino hugging Barney Frank in that picture? I know he likes Isotoner leather gloves, but he doesn't like leather THAT much.
Yegads, there has been a nudist beach on Cape May Point near the “ferry” landing for many years. Sunset Beach on Cape May Point used to be a great family spot, but sometimes the gay nudists would wander over to Sunset Beach at lunchtime, which contained the only sandwich place on the Point, and they would be wearing only a string thong. You’d have to hide the children’s eyes.
So Brock and company entertained “liberal movers and shakers” at their Rehoboth Beach house! I’d love to know who those “movers and shakers” were, and what they were “moving and shaking” considering that Brock et al were gay. Wonder if any of the White House advisors/staff were there
No wonder that Grey had something on Brock and his leftist playmates, as well as any shennanigans inside Media Matters itself.
they are dangerous....
placemark for pingout.
