Horrified teenage girl returns to find car has been deliberately crushed by man in monster truck

A teenage girl has been left broken-hearted after her car was crushed by a man in a huge camouflaged truck.

Norman Nowling, 40, from Fort Myers in Florida was arrested on Saturday after witnesses claimed he had deliberately driven over the 1994 Toyota Corolla several times.

The incident occurred at the Redneck Yacht Club during the annual 'Swamp Cabbage Weekend', which sees 4,000 revellers in monster trucks and pickups speed around an 800-acre mud park for fun.

The young woman had heard that a car had been crushed while she was at a mus pit with friends, and alerted security as soon as she returned to find the vehicle was hers. A private security guard reported seeing a large group of spectators gather round the vehicle at around 3am, urging two large trucks to run it over because 'the owner doesn't care'.

The trucks attempted to drive over the vehicle, but failed. A large camouflaged van with five-foot wheels then approached the car, and deliberately smashed into the bonnet from both sides.

Encouraged by the chanting crowd, the driver drove over the entire car several times

A spokesperson for the Redneck Yacht Club said that everyone signs a liability waiver upon entering the mud park, and that the incident was an unfortunate event that occurred on their property.

Any parent who allows their 16 yr old to be at a monster truck mud pit bash at 3am has some questionable parenting skills.

i say just let her have his truck. She can then sell it on the open market. To me, if this were in the U.S., he could get time in jail for a criminal offense, and she could also sue for monetary damages. And since it was an intentional offense, perhaps she could get multiple damages.

1. Nothing good happens after 3 am.
2. The 16 year old may not care, maybe. But her family and the insurance company sure will.

"If it had been my daughter's car, Mr. Norman Nowling would be sporting a nasty bullet hole in the center of his forehead."

Wow, a crowd tells a guy in a monster truck at a monster truck rally that the owner doesn't care if a 17 year old compact gets used for fun....but you would whack the guy because your 16 year old daughter who is partying at 2 AM owns it?

Your whole body may be a weapon, but it sure ain't a smart bomb.

So you would commit murder over a 94 Corolla?

We were told by an attorney when we had waivers printed for an event we half that the waiver was really only for those who thought they couldn’t still sue.Anyone with a decent attorney would know they aren’t worth the paper they are printed on.

My point exactly. That liability waiver is so much toilet paper if the perp doesn’t work for the establishment that had her sign the waiver. Even if he does...it ain’t worth much.

Even if he did work for them, I don’t think a deliberate act of malfeasance would be covered by the waver.

General Rule of Thumb:

Avoid places that have REDNECK in their name... I appreciate them being honest about what they are, so there is no confusion.

3. What is wrong with this private security guard that he didn't, at least notify actual police that something untoward was going on. Sounds like he wasn't doing his job. What to they pay these guys for? To make sure no one steals the mud?

“Broken-hearted” over a ‘94 Corolla?

If she's smart, she'll be "brokenhearted" to anyone and everyone who will listen to her, until the settlement check clears.

Florida’s Castle Doctrine includes your car. So if Norman tried to drive over MWBIAW’s daughter’s car and she shot him she’d be exercising her rights under Florida law.

IMHO, she’d be right, too.

I drive an old Volvo but it’s MY old Volvo and if someone tried to destroy it I’d do everything I could to stop them. The assumption that a criminal such as Norman has *any* rights during the commission of a crime is a notion that has done grievous damage to this great country.

What the hell is wrong with you? You would murder someone over this? You should not be let out of the house with anything sharper than a beach ball. Your whole body is an embarrassment to responsible firearm owners. Go back to the DUmp where they think/act(?) like you do tough guy.
