Just on Fox. Obama sending Congress a bill to triple over the next several years the premiums service people, their families, and retirees will have to pay for TRICARE medical coverage. Dem congressman on Fox claims that the military have too good a deal on medical coverage and "it's only fair to increase their permiums." Repub disagrees. Notes that Obama's buddies in civilian military jobs (i.e. unions) will see no increase.
Cant we tar and feather the bastards yet?
I agree. They have an almost unlimited supply of proof that this guy is at war with the American people.
I would like to hear Speak Boehner say, “As my good friend Senator Reid is fond of saying, this legislation is Dead on Arrival.”
Is this the “Change” Obama campaigned on?
I am sure we will be hearing next week about the same treatment coming for all civilian federal govt employees. (NOT!)
And Congress had better STOP this travesty!!!!!!
“I remain stunned that the Repubs have been handed enough ammo to destroy Obama’s chances of re-election — and do nothing with it”.
One might be tempted to believe without reservation, until the power of the media looms large. The perception is Dems good, Repubs bad. Though patently false, “the people” run with it. Dems good, repubs bad. Repeat often.
Makes you wonder doesn’t it? What do the pubbies say? Nothing? Crickets?
My premium went up 37% in February and I renewed with a doubled deductable and got a notice three days later that premium is going up 2.47% on May 1. I doubt we will be able to afford health insurance much longer.
Please Please vote this POS out of office and the RATs in congress too.
I wonder if the ‘have too good a deal’ logic will be applied to public section employees? I wonder if itll apply to current and former federal elected officials?
If the Republicans did say anything, the media would only carry it if they can portray it as outrageous, racist or elitist.
Boehner could do well to get in the spotlight a little.
Obama is using the primary distractions to sneak some of the most rogue of his agenda in.
COME ON, BOENER! Get your head out of Romney’s ass for a minute to see what else is going on.
First off they’re not premiums. They’re enrollment fees.
I need to remember my good deal when after 20 years with the company I made $28,000 dollars not counting $12,000 in allowances my last full year in the Nav.
While Boehner is playing tidly-winks with Romney and his eye is off the ball, Obama will start screaming about a "Do Nothing Congress".
Next Obama speach, "I tried to tackle the deficit problem with some tough new remedies. Now I didn't want to have to charge our good military brothers and sisters more or anyone else for this Obamacare. But we all have pay our fair share. The republicans in the house don't want to solve problems. They want this country to go broke."
Boehner will look stupid trying to rebut something where the false premise has already been set by the media.
Current Co-worker is a retired Sgt with USAF. His monthly premiums for he and his wife are $36/month. We both work on base, he picks his Rx up for FREE.
Makes a difference when you put actual numbers to what is paid for Tri-Care, doesn’t it? Contrast that to what most working-class Americans are paying for their Health Care Insurance.
Who is this Dem Congressman Putz? I want a name.
They are one in the same - most all bought & paid for hacks - controlled by the elites for the elites. Nothing will change as long as we have a total corrupt government & voted in by a large corrupt populace, which depends on gov.

AKA, let’s kill off the military first. That way, we gets us our own homies in there.
Those who are our declared enemies and captured receive unlimited healthcare while the men getting shot while defending this nation receive little.
Contrast it with what most free-loaders are paying...
And I include Congress and the usurper in that group.
I have the answer, increase the union goons premiums 3x and keep the military and retirees at current the premiums.
"unions will see no increase"Yet 0bama fully backs the unions who cry and moan about picking up a portion of their medical costs.
Good point ... One way to deal with this is remove Medical Care as a basic human right. Stem the tide of illegals using the ER as their primary means of seeing the Doctor. When you have a large number of using the hospital free of charge; those of us with insurance, or who actually work for a living; get nailed paying for the free-loaders.
Exactly.
Am I remembering right, that a while back the military was pushing “counseling” where wounded soldiers were supposed to analyze whether it would be easier on their families if they just died rather than going through rehab?
Obamacare just made it so that Muslims have a free pass to be the free-loaders. IIRC it was the day after Obamacare passed that an imam declared that insurance is “gambling” and thus against Islam. So Muslims don’t have to be insured.
I’ve wondered if that means that Muslims can’t drive a car - or if that means that the “uninsured” insurance I have to buy is a dhimmi tax that I pay in subservience to the Muslims who don’t have to be insured.
SO MANY signs of creeping sharia.
$36/Month is a fraction of what I pay. Of course, in my job I don’t have to worry about our country’s enemies shooting at me.
I see. Please describe the times in your civilian job you were shot at, came under artillery fire, and were wounded, and how many times you were sent away from your family for a 1-3 year unaccompanied tour.
Most working class people didn’t move every couple years, dragging their families with them. Most working class people didn’t spend weeks, months or even years seperated from their loved ones. Most working class people have not had to endure hardships like that of the military.
One of the carrots dangled in front of GI’s to get them to commit to 20+ years was the free health care. It was the deal they made with the rest of America to protect the freedoms we have.
Where were you when the Shiite hit the fan? Probaby sitting on your fat assets. Sad Sack of Siberian Sheep Shiite.
Boehner and McConnell will simultaneously America and what is remaining of the GOP.
That’s what we get for looking the other way and continue to vote for progressives in the GOP!!!
Their plan is playing out just like they expected.
I remember that. Can’t find a link now. Interesting.

It’s spine and guts time for the RNC, Conservatives, the Tea Party, and We The People or else, IMO.
No problem. Send it back with black letters stamped
I made a quilt for a wounded soldier, along with matching friendship bracelets - one I have on my left arm at all times to remind me to pray for him and one for him to have so he can know that I’m praying for him. One of the things I pray for the most is the courage and hope to keep pressing on in his recovery, as well as a sense that he is loved, respected, and appreciated, and that he has a purpose for being here.
Just like everything I’m trying to accomplish in my life, seems like I’m paying my government to undo it. Everything in my being is saying to that soldier, “Live and prosper!” And my government is tapping their foot and saying, “Can’t you just die already?”
To help me know how better to pray, I watched “Black Hawk Down” for the first time a while back. I watched it again just 2 nights ago while I put newspapers together. I am struck again and again with the knowledge that our arrogant usurper is unworthy to even lick clean the latrines of those guys.
The incident portrayed was not the only one at that time.
Also watch “The Kingdom,” if you haven’t. There’s a perspective, right there. A couple of characters are lame, though.
From the movie script:
“DOJ pol type: I’m gonna bury you.
The answer from the Director/guy in charge (DC setting. Fancy office): You know, Westmoreland made all of us officers write our own obituaries during Tet. When we thought the Cong were gonna end it all right there. And once we clued in to the fact that life is finite, the thought of losing it didn’t scare us anymore.
The end comes no matter what. The only thing that matters is how do you want to go out? On your feet or on your knees?
I bring that lesson to this job. I act knowing that someday this job will end, no matter what.
You should do the same.”

I seem to remember that Mr. obama (the ineligible president) said that the military health care should not be free since they volunteered for the service and knew what the risks were. (not a direct quote but close).
I’ll see if I can find it. That sounds like what I’ve been working through in my own mind and with our kids. There’s a very real possibility that we will be given a choice to either bow to Islam or be killed/tortured. We’ve been trying to help our kids realize that there are things far worse than death or any other suffering in this world, and that we don’t need to fear anything because we’ll be given the strength we need when we need it.
Along with his partners in the Democrat Party and cheerleaders in the MSM.

With what the military is paid, you would understand why health car was free. That all changed when the courts determined the gov’t word meant nothing. Bad vibes continue.
“One of the carrots dangled in front of GIs to get them to commit to 20+ years was the free health care. It was the deal they made with the rest of America to protect the freedoms we have.”
Friend, I was in the military. I know and respect military service. None of what follows applies to those severely injured in service their country. I did my hitch and got out eagerly. Today, the retirement benefit package makes each member of the military defacto millionaires - even multi-millionaires.
The country simply cannot pay for a 38 year old soldier & spouse medical care costs for the next 40 years. We don’t have the money. Somebody made promises that cannot be kept. It’s simply a fact. We do not have the money.
Additionally, The more the military is placed above the average citizen, the less free we actually are - because you are asking the impossible of the citizens whose freedom the military defends. We do not have the money. The same principal applies to other federal, state, and municipal government employee retirement plans, not just military.
The people that have to pay the taxes that support all of this cannot continue to make folks that leave government service - whether by military or civilian or any other means millionaires. We can barely afford our own medical benefits - and we are supposed to pay for everyone elses first?
I’m not pretending to know what the answer is - but the answer is NOT to make every military member that makes it to 20 years a multi-millionaire when retired pay and medical benefits are considered.
The deal our founding fathers made with every American - freedom supersedes the deal the military bureaucracy made with members of the military.
Again, I don’t know the answer, but apparently you do not know the answer either.
Military service can be very hard and brutal - if you live through it, I agree, but the answer is not to make you a multi-millionaire when you retire. It can’t be.
When Obamacare passed, I received an email from OPM stating that my Fepblue would not meet the minimum requirements of Obamacare and I would be breaking the law if I didn't do something about it. If I break the law, I lose my security clearance. If I lose my security clearance, I lose my job.
Not when they are also paying for free lifetime medical care for millions of moochers, loafers, drug addicts, illegals and other assorted victim groups and voting blocs who have done exactly nothing to deserve 5-cents worth of free care.
“Not when they are also paying for free lifetime medical care for millions of moochers, loafers, drug addicts, illegals and other assorted victim groups and voting blocs who have done exactly nothing to deserve 5-cents worth of free care. “
It should go without saying that these folks do not deserve free anything.
“Today, the retirement benefit package makes each member of the military defacto millionaires - even multi-millionaires.”
////////////////////
I retired in 1982 and am by no means a millionaire. My retirement pay at that time was $600/mo. On that I also had to pay income taxes. I spent over 20 years moving where I was told to go, did the job I was told to do, and ate when I was told I could eat. I don’t think the military is being put above anyone. They have earned the medical care that they were promised.
The gov has already broken their promise to me on educational benefits. They changed the rules and told me that my benefits has expired. That was not in the contract I signed. There was no mention of the benefit expiring (the old GI bill). Now they want to change the rules again on medical care. I’m getting very upset with the whole gov system!
