President Obama: Apology to Afghans 'Calmed Things Down'
ABC News ^ | 29 Feb 2012 | DEVIN DWYER

President Obama said his formal apology to Afghan President Hamid Karzai for the burning of Korans by U.S. troops last week has "calmed things down" after the incident sparked an outbreak of violence across the country.

"We're not out of the woods yet," Obama said in an exclusive interview with ABC News' Bob Woodruff at the White House. "But my criteria in any decision I make, getting recommendations from folks who are actually on the ground, is what is going to best protect our folks and make sure that they can accomplish their mission."

Obama's letter to Karzai reportedly expressed regret for the apparently inadvertent burning of the Korans, which took place on a U.S. military base in Afghanistan, and pledged to prevent future incidents and hold accountable those responsible.

The president's critics and some members of the military have questioned the appropriateness of the move, given the subsequent murder of two U.S. military officers at the hands of an Afghan inside one of the capital's secure ministry buildings.

So would some well placed ammunition have calmed things down. And it would have calmed them down sooner and with more benefit to us.

In the mind of a logical person, one would refer to most of the statements coming from this obozo jackass as either DILUSIONAL or lies. I'd say both apply.

Might have calmed them down (although anyone that believes this idiot is an equal idiot).

But it has not calmed us down.

No one apologizes to a muzzie.

No one with b*lls, that is.

Oh, forgot......

I saw the interview with the ambassador to Afghanistan and the commanding General by Brett Baer this afternoon. It looks and sounds to me like once again some poor slob of a GI will be thrown under the bus. But Lil Barry as usual is damaging his elbows patting himself on the back.

I figured Zer0 would say something like this....

...it is after all, one of those impossible things to prove or disprove.

I suspect that the muzzie lunatics would have rioted for about a week and then quit even without "the apology"...just like they did with "the apology"...

...I bet that most of the muzzies don't give a rat's ass about the koran....all they wanted to do was riot.....

...Zer0 wasted his time and showed everyone his ass once again.

“.Zer0 wasted his time and showed everyone his ass once again”

Just like the “drop pants” comics I used to see at the Roxy Theater in Cleveland, in the 60s. I was there to see Irma, The Body, but suffered through their worn out comedy routines.

He may have placated some of the rag heads by kissing their a$$es but he sure pissed off the rank and file military members. You won't hear anything from them because they do not want to be court marshaled and kicked out.
But they are pissed. The vast majority of them see him has a traitor. They do have clear vision.

So why isn't he impeached for treason?

Number One Answer: We as Americans have bent to his chains and abandoned our forces in the field.
Sorry, chief, it's high time somebody faced facts. We field the greatest force the world has ever seen and refuse to support them. You're buying a book burning as the equivalent of killing Americans?

Our soldiers need us to step up now more than ever.

543 American soldiers were KIA the week of the Tet Offensive. The 4,000 you refer to (a little low btw) is America and it’s allies, i.e. SVA

He needs to start apologizing and kissing the behind of that angry black woman he’s married to. See if he can calm HER down.
