According to the MSM, and most people who blindly follow their reports, Mitt Romney won the Michigan primary last night by about 3 points, 41 to 38. However, like the Electoral College, the point of the contest is not to win the popular vote (Gore 2000) but to win more delegates per state based on the apportionment of those delegates.
Michigans primary delegate system allows for a set number of delegates to be won by state wide popular vote and the rest to be evenly distributed by Congressional districts. When you consider the facts of the contest, and the outcome of the voting pattern of the Congressional districts, Rick Santorum won more delegates by a count of 17 to 13 for Romney.
No spin; just the facts. The MSM will not report it that way so someone has to.

I’m glad that ‘someone’ is willing to do so. Thanks for the post!
(((((PING)))))
It’s an accident if the media presents a full and accurate impression.
17 to 13 ..final tally in Michigan. Fox will never report that but CNN will.
Hmmmmmmmmm.....
Bit those 13 delegates sure cost Willard the Spender a lot.
Say $650K each?
Bump!
I saw this on the local news tonight.
Might not matter. MSM has already anointed Romney as the nominee and will do whatever possible to avoid reporting bad news about him no matter what.
*But
Basically it’s open cold civil war on We the People and our candidates at this point....
At the very least, it will give Rick an opening line for his next dozen speeches and couple dozen media interviews : )
I just heard on Fox 15 to 15...not 17 to 13, what is the correct count?
I’m still getting a tie but that’s good enough for me considering how much it cost Mitt-ercup for those 15 delegates.
Despite the media spin about democrats voting for Santorum, it was still Mitt who won the most liberal areas of Michigan and Santorum who won the conservative areas.
This morning FOX was trying to help Romney by showing Romney whining about it being wrong to court dems in a robo-call.
uh huh, well it was Romney camp that wanted open primaries in Michigan.
Talk about a hypocrite.
And since when is trying to get voters from the other party to crossover and support you?
I didn’t see Reagan turning away Reagan dems. He welcomed them.
From what I have recently been told, the Santorum campaign has requested this link not be circulated as it is FALSE.
Sorry...
Romney was specifically hunting democrat votes too. My liberal sister in Livonia said that Romney people came to her door several times. She told them that she was an idiot (democrat) but they said it didn’t matter as long as she was willing to help stop Santorum’s “extreme agenda”. She said they even used the word taliban.
If Santorum picked up some democrat votes, that’s tough noogies for Romney and his friends. We’ve been screaming for a closed primary for years now and that bunch has done all they could to keep it open.
The worse was Rick Snyder complaining about it on election night. If it weren’t for crossovers he wouldn’t be governor now. Union members voted for him in near identical numbers as they did for democrat Bernero.
Who is Tony Campbell? And can this narrative be believed?
It appears that Romney won District 10 (the thumb) and that the final score was 15-15.

I just sent in another donation!
Mittens is having $1000 fund raisers. Rick and Co. should do same.
