Obama: No magic bullet to lower gas prices (Newt has Obama "all wee wee'd up")
The Times Leader ^ | 2/25/2012 | AP

(AP) President Barack Obama says there is no easy answer to the problem of rising energy prices, dismissing Republican plans to address the problem as little more than gimmicks.

"We know there's no silver bullet that will bring down gas prices or reduce our dependence on foreign oil overnight," Obama said Saturday in his weekly radio and Internet address. "But what we can do is get our priorities straight and make a sustained, serious effort to tackle this problem."

-snip-

Obama said Republicans have one answer to the oil pinch: Drill.

"You know that's not a plan, especially since we're already drilling," Obama said, echoing his remarks earlier in the week. "It's a bumper sticker." [For Newt Gingrich]

Obama is pushing what he calls an "all-of-the-above" approach [Shades of Sarah Palin] to the problem of limited energy resources, meaning an attempt to seek out alternative energy sources while reducing consumption of traditional fuels.

What’s really sad are the Santorum supporters in their effort to discredit Newt on this issue are mimicing Obama.

This good. Newt has the facts behind him and the people will understand it. People can easily understand the Keystone pipeline deal for instance. GO NEWT GO!

OK I don’t trust these investment gurus, but this one is saying Obama already has the fix in place to approve hydraulic fracking:

http://www.wealthdaily.com/

If so, it could be to remove this issue from the Republicans and especially Newt and his $2.50/gal promise.

And I don’t trust Obama to do what he says any more than I trust Lucy not to pull the football out of the way.

He will approve it until he wins, then he will disapprove it and jerk it back. Isn’t the term “silver bullet” dangerous- kinda like ‘’’crosshairs”. BO needs to watch his language.

Well, Barak you could stop debasing the currency through you loose fiscal and monetary policies. The dollar is dropping in value at an alarming rate. That’s the biggest component of the price at the pump.

Hmmm....

Funny how that moron George Dubya was able to figure out how to do it.

obama has said there is no “silver bullet” to our energy problems. Monday at the Health Care Roundtable in Nashville, Newt referred to this comment while discussing “over regulation” and said “The President doesn’t have a silver bullet, but he does have a silver pen”, and could solve a lot of problems with it.

You know, originally, I would have been happy to vote for Santorum, but over the last few weeks...

Though he does not make my teeth itch like Romney, I have really come to dislike him.

Newt has his flaws, and the media has really villified him for decades, but even after years of negative press, I can still listen to him speak (in small venues when he has no expectation that the world is listening) and not feel the need to immediately shower afterward.

We will have to get used to the media attacking everything he sais and does for 4 or 8 years, but I can live with that and sleep at night.

The silver bullet is telling the Saudi’s to pump oil until a barrel costs $60 or tell them that we will take over their oil fields. Obama bowing to them doesn’t mean s***.
