Santorum's new Ohio campaign ad, lists quotes, which appear to be endorsements.
I love it! Go Santorum. These naysayers are disgusting. You are the real deal. I can’t wait to call you President Santorum. We will FINALLY be back to principles in this country.
Here’s the expanded quote from the WSJ:
‘Overall, we’d score Mr. Santorum’s economic agenda as bolder than Mr. Romney’s, if not as ambitious as those of Messrs. Huntsman and Gingrich.’
Why didn’t Rick use the entire quote?
So you don’t find this just a little misleading?
They aren’t endorsements but they are comments that the named people have made.

FReepmail Antoninus to be added or removed.
Not one of those quotes looks like an actual endorsement to me.
If you saw the entire ad, they sure are represented as endorsements, except for the last clip showing him playing with his little girl.
last clip showing him playing with his little girl.
The next George Washington? What would you call that if not an endorsement.
I’d say that Beck and Rush’s quotes are pretty much endorsements. As for Palin and the WSJ, those look to be cherry-picked observations.
And I wouldn’t trust the ComPost to know it’s head from it’s @ss.
This ad ran in MI and all of the parties said nothing to distance themselves from it. As a matter of fact, they all still continue to support him to some degree. If you want to talk about misleading, lets chat about the Mittens negative Super PAC ads that he has been running against Newt and Rick.
“they all still continue to support him to some degree.”
Time and WP support Santorum? I thought Glenn Beck was in the Romney camp.
Oh come on!! Many like Rush and Sarah has praise Santorum at times but has never officially nor semi-endorse him. Santorum team seems to be cherry-picking nice things said about Rick as though it was an endorsement. Heck, Bill Clinton has praise Sarah once as being very savvy and smart but no way was that an endorsement
Do you even listen to him? If you did you would know he hates Newt and always slams Milt for his Progressive nature. The only candidate he has been talking up lately is Rick especially since Bachmann dropped. You seem to be incredulous that prominent people have said complementary things about Rick.
Can somebody please post all the major cuts in spending Santorum has voted for during his 20 years in congress? All I am hearing is from opponents about his votes on spending and raising the national debt etc, so I would like to hear the other side.
I wonder how Rush is going to feel tomorrow about Santorum calling him “Absurd” Or and an absurd entertainer how ever he tried to rationalize it. Plus Rush probably won’t like the fact he is being use that way since he hasn’t official endorsed anyone.
Would that be Rush Limbaugh the “absurd” “entertainer” that Rick referred to this week??? ...or, Rush Limbaugh the Conservative spokesperson???
Santorum is a Rino weakling. But the one issue crowd loves him because he thumps his bible alot.
No, I dont watch Glenn Beck. Lost me a long time ago. What I find incredulous is the fact Santorum used quotes within quotes. I thought the ad was incredibly opportunistic and frankly, it sickens me. I would assume now that Santorum has jumped into the abyss against Rush, he might want to drop Rush’s quote from the ad. LOL.
There’s nothing wrong with using quotes other conservatives had said that are positive about him. He would have to say they were endorsing him to be dishonest.
Time Magazine referred to him as one of the 25 most influential evangelicals in America. I am just curious, can a Catholc be an evangelical? I am not being flip, I really don’t know.
Saintorum is a disgusting liar.
This may add credence to claims made by Arlen Specter, of all people.
http://www.breitbart.tv/specter-santorum-lied/
Ricky is panicking.
** President Newt Gingrich-”Our beloved republic deserves nothing less.”
In my book it is far more than “incredibly opportunistic”, it is deception... it is lying.
Yeah right? That is why people like Levin, Rush, Beck, Malkin et al all refer to him as a Conservative. As for the in issue crowd, there seem to be a fair amount of them considering that Rick either comes in second or bests Milt in state Primaries as of late.
Your flowers are wilting.
From Santorum’s 2003, to 2004 Senate record; (there are countless more like it)
[In a single session, Rick Santorum co-sponsored 51 bills to increase spending And zero to cut spending.]
Because Rick doesn’t mind misleading if it benefits Rick.
He learned his ethics as a lawyer representing Pro Wrestling. He only thumps his Bible to impress people who are easily impressed.
So you believe Spector over Santorum on this story? Very interesting. You Newt people constantly bring up Ricks support of him in ‘04 because Spector was a real shifty POS, but when it suits your needs to slam Santorum, all of a sudden Arlen is the most honest and dedicated man to trod the earth who’s statements are beyond repoach. Which is it?
BTW, can you cite this so called panic “Ricky” is having?
Polls are going in a different direction. Soon, this may not be true anymore. Hopefully his collapse is complete before Super Tuesday, or Romney takes another step towards the nomination.
Yeah, I know Beck has endorsed Santorum.
But on its own, that statement is screaming for context. In what way is he the next George Washington? As “the father of our country”—with so many kids of his own? On his way to growing a pony tail? True to his convictions and saying directly what he believes?
Even an over-the-top compliment isn’t necessarily an endorsement.
You are going to have a long, long wait.
He likely pushed one or more to disclaim endorsement of him...
Read what he said in a debate. But yet he wants to use a statement alluding to the Washington Post endorsing him as a tea party candidate. Which is it Rick? What a weasel.u
SANTORUM: Well first off, I didnt say that the Washington Post said it. I simply commented on what they said. I dont take the claim, the Tea Party
organization is flat and it should stay that way. It should support ideas not candidates. And people who stand up and say they lead it, well, I think most of the Tea Party people think their leadership is among the people not anybody is a member of congress or anywhere else.
Who is the “one issue crowd” and what is that “one issue” that you are so clearly disgusted by, and why do you call Christians “bible thumpers” which is a term created and favored by the hard left and atheists.
Didn’t Rick want Specter for president? Last time he wanted Romney for President.
Guess what. If this collapse you are rooting for with Santorum happens, Milt is the nominee. The meme that Romney is inevitable will take hold and all the undecideds will back the perceived winner. Gingrich is done in this thing. If you haven't noticed, he has absolutely no traction in any of the Super Tuesday states except GA. This big rally to Newt you are wishing in the polls isn't happening with 3 days left till the polls open.
Let's see. The Junior Senator of 2 years backed the Senior Senator that helped him campaign supported him for President in a year full of loser candidates. Boy. That is outrageous.
Last time he wanted Romney for President.
Let's see. Santorum knew McLame personally and thought he was a disaster. Remember McCain Fiengold? He and Rush, Levin, DeMint and other Conservatives tried to rally the base behind the best choice available, in another year full of loser Candidates, late in the Primary to knock McLame out. Shocking.

You’re propaganda is transparent. Santorum dropped more than ten points in the space of a day or two in Georgia in recent polls, the majority of his support going to Newt Gingrich, and he is losing ground in the other states as well.
That’s evidence that he is starting to fade nationally, and these drops accelerate quite quickly as soon as the fair weather conservative types and regular voters start to see the shift in the wind.
It’s obvious that Santorum’s loss in Michigan and Arizona, and also his campaign tactics, has left a bad taste in the mouth of many folks. I expect the drop to continue, and it will be interesting what the mood is on Super Tuesday itself.
“Let’s see. The Junior Senator of 2 years backed the Senior Senator that helped him campaign supported him for President in a year full of loser candidates. Boy. That is outrageous.”
Hahahahaha! You’re so easy to utterly crush.
Here is an excerpt of what Arlen Specter was running on for his platform! I’ll give you a hint. Pro-abortion, anti-religion, pro-”wall” of seperation between Church and State... All of which Santorum is running on for this election!!
“When Pat Robertson says there is no constitutional doctrine of separation between Church and State, — I say he is wrong. The First Amendment freedom of religion is as important today — as when the Bill of Rights was written.
When Pat Buchanan calls for a Holy War in our society, — I say he is wrong. We don’t need holy wars, — we need tolerance and simple humanity.
When Ralph Reed says a pro-choice Republican isn’t qualified to be our President, — I say the Republican Party will not be blackmailed. I and millions of other pro-choice Republicans — will not be disenfranchised.
I believe there is an important place in public life — for people with deep religious and moral convictions. I am one of them. When I look at teenage pregnancies, — the high crime rate, — the fact that many high school graduates cannot read their own diplomas, — there is no doubt that people with deep religious and moral convictions must be active in the political process. But it is not Christian, — or religious, — or Judeo-Christian to bring God into politics; — or to advocate the intolerance and exclusion.
I think Jack Kemp put it best — when he said when it comes to moral values — we must seek to persuade rather than impose. I want to take abortion out of politics. I want to keep the Republican Party focused on the vital economic and foreign policy issues — and leave moral issues such as abortion to the conscience of the individual. I believe abortion is an issue to be decided by women — not by big government.”

Santorum wanted Arlen Specter to be President, and then he wanted Mitt Romney to be President.
Now Santorum wants himself to be president, is this attorney claiming to be a lifelong conservative or did he come into this late in life?
Hey if you supported Romney in 2008 like Santorum did, then that explains a lot, I never supported Romney myself.
So where is your guy?
You love running around here starting flame wars, which I thought you were supposed to stop as part of your Probation, tearing down Rick. Where is Newt in this. So what if Newt wins GA by 100%. Is that the only thing he is going to bring to the table on Tuesday? Where is he in swing states. Rick is still up in OH, a state we need in the General. Where is Newt in any other ST state?
That is why I see you Newt people spinning off the rails tearing down Rick much like Romney does. You know Newt is done in this race as evidenced by the fact that no one what’s to vote for him.
Why don’t you knock of the Rick bashing and try explaining to people why a man with 67% negatives should be our nominee. I am guessing that is becoming close to impossible these days.
Ah. You love McCain. Good to know.
Newt will win President of Georgia. That is if Mitt doesn’t rip him to shreads before Tuesday.
What I said was Saintorum’s BS is adding credence to what Spector has said.
Spector is a piece of scum, but is Ricky is knitting himself his very own liar jacket...er.. I mean sweater.
Oh as for panic... I’d say that being deceptive as to who all has actually endorsed him..... just might be a sign of panic. But then that’s just me.
Here is the good news. The truth will come out about these alleged endorsements in the coming days.
Have an enjoyable evening....

I have been given no directions to lay off Rick, and the things I have written are utterly valid. I responded to your post dismissing Santorum’s endorsement of Specter in 1995, despite Specter’s presidential platform being based on pro-abortion and “changing Republican” culture.
You don’t have a response, so you start to bash me right away.
Santorum is starting to sound like he used to be a lawyer for professional wrestlers.
