I’ll be glad to see Carbonite go. I detest the commercials because he reads them off as part of the normal show, and I feel like I’ve been “gotcha’ed” every time I realize it’s an ad. That’s when I go off to a music channel for the rest of my drive.
HA! I think the exact same thing.
I know Rush sort of mastered the art of including the commercials in various parts of his monologue, but I find it really irritating. I realize it is one of the things that makes him successful and keeps him on the air, but I can't help feeling tricked every time he, Hannity, etc, pull these increasingly seamless transitions from talk about economic/political issues into advertising for Carbonite, Goldline, etc.
Me too. I despise the commercials where Rush or any other commentator makes it seem like part of the show. The identity theft ads are a major pain in the arse. As soon as I recognize that he or someone else is going into an ad, I turn mute the volume for a few minutes. BTW, Crash Plan I much better than Carbonite or Mozy. Crashplan will let you back up for free to other computers, including to friends or work computer. They have a cloud that you can pay for, if you want to. If you use their cloud, it is cheaper than Mozy or Carbonite.
I usually start to tune out around 2:40. The end of the show was usually about Carbonite or Two if by Tea. Rest of the show is usually great, so not complaining per se.
Back to the topic at hand: It no surprise the left will be pulling out all the stops. Their usual M.O. is to distract with some sort of Reichstag publicity stunt. This “contraception” thing has been in the works for months.
