I don’t know. I was referring to Super Tuesday races only.

"That’s gonna be a lot of tea to sell and he may have to raise prices."

You must not listen to Rush, much. If you did, you would realize that you increase sales by LOWERING prices, not raising them.

RuSh may have an income loss of a couple of mill for a few weeks, but he will survive. His response to the criticism should be: "that's spelled LIMBAUGH"

So Noot’s on TV...how’d that happen?

Where’s Rush, don’t they need to demonize him for saying the wrong word?

Morning all, thanks for the thread AB.

The real question of the day: Will Rush Survive?

How about—Will Carbonite survive if millions of conservative subscribers pull their business in response to an owner who basically argued that his OWN daughter is somehow equivalent to a dysfunctional woman at Gerogetown law who, by her own admission, apparently has sex morning, noon and night?

In all seriousness, we learn more about what happens when formerly ballsy start-up companies succeed (thanks in part to their original introduction to the world on Rush’s show) in such way as to become big, exceedingly compromised enterprises trying to be all things to all people. (Extreme sanctimony is usually a sign that a company will be delivering a watered-down product in due time.)

Of course Rush has to hold his affiliates together and deliver high-paying advertisers so he HAS to apologize — and he did go a metaphor too far here because he picked on a private citizen. Not that she didn’t ask for it.

Wallace brings up the Limbaugh fiasco to Santorum.

[duh!]

Wallace asks: “Do you really want to be campaigning on contraception in 2012?”

Santorum begins to answer, and Wallace interrupts with his motor boat impression, “But, but but...”

==

I fear this non-issue is designed to distract from real issues: economy, jobs, Obamacare, etc. And the candidates/talkshow hosts are falling for the distraction.

So far, Wallace has used the entire Santorum segment (abt 7 minutes) for this topic and social issues.

Great post as usual, bray!

America is under a full scale attack from the Left. Their lying, corruption, threats, misdirection and general calumny is astonishing even to those of us familiar with it. Their stealthy coup over the American People and our Constitution is almost complete. Strategically, it requires only that 0bama win another term in 2012. If he does, I fear it will take terrible efforts if any Retoration is to be effective.

One can now hear not only the clanking of our chains on the plains of Boston but throughout our land.

We must not lose sight that our goal must be ridding ourselves of this malignant Administration and it's powerful enablers in the all branches of government, society, and the Media. These termites have been destroying our foundations for years but they are now mounting their final offensive to topple us. We can only hope our house still has enough strength left to stand until it can be rescued and repaired by a people driven by a thirst for liberty and their servants of good will.

Chris Wallace is a slimeball. How about letting him talk about issues like the failing economy? Did Chris do the research or the DNC?

Pray for America

Gingrich on ABC, George S. asks how he can put together a winning strategy moving forward. Gingrich touts Georgia, also other states where he will pick up delegates.

Asked about Campfield’s (Tennessee supporter) switching to Santorum - Gingrich touts TN caucus he won, etc.

Gingrich talks aboutdifference between himself and Santorum - Santorum is big labor supporter compared to himself. Says when you get out of industrial states, things change.

George keeps pushing......historically long fights in the primary cause that party to lose. Gingrich brings up the Hillary/obama primary ight and how that didn’t hold true.

George plays Rush’s comments about Fluke - asks Newt if Rush reinforced the dem strategy claiming Rep’s are in a war against women. Newt brings it back to the war on the Catholic church. He is amazed that there aren’t more voices standing up for religious liberty.

George asks whether he thought Rush should apologize. Newt says yes, briefly, but immediately goes after obama for apologizing to Afghanis for the koran burning.

Wallace came off as pathetic when questioning Santorum on his charitable donations.

I listened to most of the comments Rush said and I have to comment that if these jerks on the left can’t take a joke, then screw them. Rush has always used absurdity to expose the absurd, and sarcasm to emphasize the point.

More, Fluke is not some unsuspecting victim either. She’s an activist who either knows what she’s doing or taking advantage of the situation provided by statist activists. And, lets face it, $3000 over three years for contraception is now somehow a burden on her or her classmates, and that it should somehow be free for them? Really? How much have they been spending on iPads and iPhones? How many Starbucks coffee’s will they have to give up, or the junk foods they’ve been eating? Or maybe they might have to stop going to some trendy restaurant or night club.

This whole issue is a manufactured fantasy the Democrats are trying to use to gin up discontent and votes. They are trying to create an issue where there shouldn’t even be one.

I don’t believe Rush should apologize one bit. If anything these people on the left need to apologize to the rest of us for making a mountain out of a molehill.

Wallace is being combative and making Santorum sound defensive on most topics this morning.

That makes for a not-so-good showing for Santorum.

Santorum this morning reminds me of the Santorum of the early debates.

Just watching Inside Washington, and Nina Totenberg (whom the great David Brudnoy called ‘the Temptress of Public Radio’) said the Republican candidates treat each other with savagery, the same way Republicans in Congress treat their opponents. Roger Simon was filling in for Charles Krauthammer and no one batted an eye. After all, everyone knows Republicans are savages.

His numbers have taken a hit from his playing coy with the candidates. He should have endorsed someone rather than being cute with the Santorum favoritism so he won’t offend Romney.

Lot’s of people quit listening if he didn’t have the courage to say who he was for before the FL election. Now he apologizes for saying the truth.

Pray for America

This is arguable at best. Ratings flucuations can never be pinned on one factor. For every person who stops listening because the host doesn’t endorse “my guy,” there will arrive some other listener who tunes in because the host HASN’T “sold out” to one candidate.

Rush has NEVER really endorsed candidates in the primary season and you could probably find seasons where his ratings went up.

The other thing I’d add, just from a personal perspective, is this:

Which one of these candidates is so great that they are worth alienating sections of the audience for and staking your reputation on?

I don’t see it.

Paul is loony tunes.

Romney is plain hopeless.

Newt has decades-entrenched negatives in the 60s and will likely end up back on the sofa with Pelosi for the attention it will bring him.

Santorum has already thrown Rush under the bus.

Cain seems to be a serial womanizer.

Bachmann was a walking gaffe machine.

Pawlenty?

That guy from Utah?

If I had a reputation and livelihood rooted in political analysis or observation there is NO WAY I’d go to the mat for any of these people.

Just me, though. A lifelong and diehard Palinista.

They are bleeding the country to death while they are strangling it of energy to replace the blood. They are trying to make a soviet style communist society. We are fighting some very powerful forces.

Now David Axelrod is up with George St. - asked about Israel - touts all the ways the US/Israel connection is strong.

Asked about apologozing for the koran burnings - obama was trying to save lives of troops.

Gas prices - what if it goes to $5? Asked about Chu’s comments that our goal is to descrease our dependency on oil (not to reduce gas prices). Axelrod - touts fuel effieciency standards that obema has dictated as one way obama is trying to help reduce gas prices.

(OH LA LA - that answer alone shows he is a Total Idiot! obama picked some incredibly huge number out of the air for the new CAFE standard by some year and actually thinks the auto industry can accomplish that standard? No, he is trying to force us all to drive electric cars....)

Asked about Rush’ comments and Boehner’s responses - Rush comments were vile to that woman and to all women Rush’s comments were predicated on a lie. Even his his quasi-apology, Limbaugh continued the falsehood.
