In dealing with a lot of home users, many of them are too ignorant or clueless about how their box runs.
My main dread is legacy email such as outlook express, eudora or Earthlink TA 2003. Most of the time I can get a copy or export/import to work to live mail or something else. There have been a few that had problems. After much grief and effort in a couple of those cases and getting all their precious messages back, they said stuff along the lines of “that’s all old and I don’t need it anyway”.
My new policy from now on is before I get involved with any kind of move or migration from an older XP box to a 7 unit is to have the user establish some kind of gmail or yahoo account and let them sort what is important to them before I touch it just in case the usual methods fail.

That's the second time Rush Limbaugh made this supporters look like fools on this issue.
The first time was when he called Sandra Fluke a slut and a prostitute, and talked about how she said she was having so much sex she wanted the government to pay for it, and so on.
Sandra Fluke never mentioned her own sex life a single time in her ridiculous speech. She never said she was on contraceptives, that she had been on contraceptives, or that she wanted to be on contraceptives.
She said she wanted to tell the stories of women and then she told the story of six different women and their problems with contraceptives that weren't paid for by their healthcare plans.
Where in the Sam Hill Rush got the idea activist Fluke talked about her own sex life, or said she was having lots of sex, or that she was going broke on her own contraceptives . . . I have no idea. And Rush questioned how proud Fluke's parents could be having a daughter engaged in all that recreational sex, etc., when Fluke never said such a thing.
But Rush fans who didn't listen to the prepared speech immediately agreed that Fluke was a slut and round-heeled, and started counting the number of condoms she needed and sexual partners she was havine.
So now Rush had to apologize. Fluke is a heroine. Everyone in the media familiar with Fluke's testimony have seen evidence that Rush is a blowhard who operates without facts. Conservatives have lost the high ground on the topic of Obamacare forcing healthcare plans sponsored by religious groups to provide care against religious beliefs - now the issue of contraceptives only brings to mind Rush Limbaugh's 'slut' comment, not some witty attack on all of the rest of the nonsense in her statement.
Netizen has been all over this on FR, posting directly from Fluke's testimony.

It’s not just Rush, but conservative bloggers have piled on with attacking Fluke and defending Rush’s use of the word “slut”.
Shame they got a boatload of money from Rush through Valentines Day.
Hope Mother’s Day goes as well. (sarcasm of course)
The question now is whether the ‘oh so principled’ Hannity will drop Pro Flowers as a sponsor now that he sees that his words will affect his paycheck.
If you ask me, whether he does or doesn’t answers where his loyalties lie.
Is someone keeping a list of those who are dropping Rush?
I want to know who to boycott.
I just did too, and I’ve bought from them often the last few years, no more!
I’m afraid Rush has found that the same culprits that abandoned Glenn is now abandoning him.
It’s a hard lesson to learn, but we are ALL vulnerable to ‘the machine.’
No, it made me sad that Rush ‘apologized’, which made me realize that hitting his pocketbook made him change his views.
I give up on it all. Just damn.
