Carbonite's statement was especially and curiously unctuous, its withdrawal of sponsorship coming as it did after Rush's apology. Here is Carbonite's CEO David Friend:

MoveOn.org, America Coming Together and Democracy for America, all three listed here as George Soros funded groups, the latter set up by Howard Dean. Texans for Truth also drew Mr. Friend's support. This group, according to Wikipedia, was set up by MoveOn.org spin-off Drive Democracy.org in 2004. Why? To… wait for it… challenge then-President Bush's service in the Texas National Guard. The precise same stunt for which CBS fired Dan Rather after documents were discovered to have been forged. The Bush-Cheney campaign said of Texans for Truth that it was "a smear group launching baseless attacks on behalf of John Kerry's campaign that will be rejected by the American people." They were. But that didn't quench Mr. Friend's affection for either the smear campaign or supporting leftist candidates such as Howard Dean, and John Kerry.
And get a load of this. Take a look right here at Ed "Laura Ingraham is a slut" Schultz's site for his radio show. Who is listed as a Schultz sponsor? That's right: Carbonite. Like Rush Limbaugh, Ed Schultz apologized. The difference? If Rush uses the word "slut" to illustrate the absurdity of the left-wing Sandra Fluke's views -- David Friend is outraged. But when Ed Schultz refers in hostile fashion out of the blue to conservative and Catholic Laura Ingraham as a "slut" -- hey, no big deal for Carbonite......

Then calling Select Comfort, telling them I will not be buying a 2nd bed from them.
I don’t think anyone will sign up for their service because of dropping Rush,
You see, if Carbonite is a great success, the people will eventually be conditioned to backup all of their computerized data in the way that lemmings follow each other over a cliff.
When that day comes, the “sheeple” will already be conditioned to then hand over all of their computerized data to the new business succeeding Carbonite,,,THE GOVERNMENT online mandatory data storage system!
Conditioning is everything. Little by little, you can manipulate the population by letting them enter the door one by one and the effect is not even noticed until all are in the room.
“Slut” is the left’s term.
Laura Ingraham was called a Right Wing Slut, they have the “slut walk”. They are proud of slut.
Until Rush uses it.
“According to Fluke’s written testimony before the House, she wasn’t specifically asking for $3,000 in contraception for herself.”
According to some of the initial news reports, she was. And she sure used “we” a lot if her testimony was supposed to be about “them”.
Rush uses the absurd to make his point but he got into it a bit deep and sucked all the air out of any other part of the conservative message.
Freedom of religion is crucial but so is winning this election to remove Obama and repair the damage. If conservatism can't hold a place on Capital Hill, nothing we believe in will be safe.
Rush, I might add, took on these advertisers. It's not like they were hiding their affiliations -- Jeffery Lord didn't seem to have much trouble putting this all together. One could say, Rush has endorsed their product and that his listeners by extension, have supported these groups.
NEW WORD FOR SLUT.

When Rush apologized, he had his fingers crossed, which cancelled out the apology.
No Carbonite needed.
I went on that flower Facebook site where they had put up a message about Rush.
They had, last night, over 7,000 comments, running about five to one AGAINST the company and FOR Rush. That’s not counting the “likes” for all the comments vowing NOT to use their product. It was incredible.
And so , hey, you can do this without even getting out of your chair, Freepers. Find these products’ sites/Facebook, and blast them.
They ARE selling a product after all and if we have no power at all we are their customer base else they wouldn’t have been advertising on Rush.
Let our capitalist system do our talking.

I don’t use Carbonite and neither does my family, but they’ve had computer issues now and then, so was looking around yesterday for some alternatives and found the below

So now the left seems to have accomplished:
1. get and keep a socialist in the white house
2. control and redistribute healthcare
3. paint Republicans as the party that hates women and sex
4. drive gas prices over 4.00
5. get the base motivated to come back out and vote all democrat in 2012
I have been using Carbonite at my office to back up radiographs. Before I drop Carbonite I need to research the alternatives. Thanx.
Thank goodness they are gone! Here’s hoping Rush got the Lifelock folks po’ed too!!!
The media has controlled public opinion and so has ruled this country for the last 100 years, the media got Obama elected by lying against Palin and Bush and Republicans: This is why government and socialism have always been growing. The media is responsible for 99% of the problems we have in the U.S.A.
I have several forms of LOCAL backup and to allow someone to have all of my data... while they supply the encryption... and they have the seed key... no way. Rush had better apologize to us today for the apology. Franklin Graham and now Rush... are they threatening their lives?
