CNN: Rockwell's granddaughter paints terrorists; says global warming is bigger danger
CNN ^ | 3/5/12 | Christopher Maloney

Posted on 03/05/2012 3:47:28 PM PST by Eddie Kritzer

“When you look that closely at someone, you almost always develop sympathy for them,” Rockwell says. “It's like sitting next to someone for a long bus ride. … I want to think about who these people are and why they made the choices they did. I want to share the results of my thoughts, which are my paintings, with other people.”

She was particularly inspired to paint bin Laden.

“We take for granted who he was and what he did and why, and stop thinking of him as a human being with profoundly human motivations. The war on terror is quite bizarre, when you think about it, because it's a war on an emotion - fear. At least, that is what we are told. Instead of just being at war, we are trying to stamp out fear itself.”

Mentally ill. And devoid of talent, as well. Just as well—if she had any talent her mental illness about terrorism would be more damaging.

Only the pervert iconoclasts in the news media would feature the leftwing granddaughter of a beloved artist reknown for his dipictions of traditional America.

My hatred of them knows no bounds.

“When you look that closely at someone, you almost always develop sympathy for them,” Rockwell says.

That's because you are a coddled, spoiled, flighty dimbulb who has never learned that there is such a thing as evil. And when the suggestion presents itself to you, you develop a sort of Stockholm syndrome and make excuses for that evil in an effort to avoid recognizing it for what it is.

Oh, and you're a slut, too.

“We are supposed to think that those who wish America ill are motivated by evil and to not think any further than that,” says Rockwell. “(But America) has spent quite a bit of time meddling in the affairs of other countries. Whether we like it or not, there are plenty of reasons out there for people to wish us ill as a country.”

American born traitor, "Axis Sally", said basically the same thing when she was broadcasting from Hitler's NAZI Germany.

She is a vile person.

Those terrorists Daisy Rockwell paints would deny young Miss Rockwell her right to wear revealing clothing, sell her as a wife who is treated worse then cattle, genitally mutilate her in order to deny her of any sexual pleasure and prohibit all of her reproductive rights.

I am sure these terrorists will most certainly develop sympathy for Miss Rockwell while denying her her most basic feminine rights.

Rockwell has traveled extensively and holds a doctorate in South Asian literature, which she says, in retrospect, may have been her way of escaping the legacy of her family name.

What was there to "ESCAPE" from? it wasn't like trying to get out of East Germany or off of Cuba or some other Communist hellhole. Or inheriting the name Hitler, Rosenberg, or Stalin.

She claims to have used a pseudonym. Well coming out from under it and going to Time-Lies-CNN-Warner is just falling back on grandpappy's coattail.

And another homicide bomber makes their mark on a bus that the unfortunate Ms. Rockwell was riding.

Ummm, just sitting next to a person - and 'imagining' why they made the choices they made is called 'projection'. On a bus? Gimme a break. One more reason to NEVER give power to 'trust fund' babies... Did I mention that Bill Ayers was a trust fund baby?

Maybe she should look more closely at the victims and their families then. Sit next to them for a while. Sit next to some American soldiers for a while.

This reminds me of the Stockholm Syndrome, but more specifically it is part of the modern-day liberal sickness which is greatly weakening the West. One of the most glaring symptoms of this sickness is to sympathize with terrorists while at the same time despising your fellow countrymen and women who happen to hold traditional/conservative views.

My guess is that people like her feel compelled to sympathize with terrorists because conservatives are opposed to the terrorists and it’s their way of doing whatever they can to not be on the same side as us. Also they know it ticks us off big time, so that’s an added bonus. But more than that i think it’s because to the left the only real war is the war against the right and thus the only real enemies are people like Rush and Cheney and Newt and us Freepers.

The bottom line is that most of these sympathizers spend more time trying to understand what makes a terrorist tick than they do us. They need to ask themselves why that is. Why do they automatically hate a conservative but not a fanatical terrorist who wants either to convert them or kill them if they won’t convert?

Hey, she may not have inherited Norman's amazing talents, but she sure did inherit his looks.

I was once told by an aspiring avant garde artist that the true purpose of art not to craft beautiful and inspiring images as one would suppose. Instead, arts true purpose to evoke a desired response. I would say Ms Rockwell not only has no artistic talent to craft beautiful or inspiring images, but she also has no real talent to convey any emotional response that conveys any sort of message or social commentary, despite the fact that it seems to be her obvious intent and conceit to do so.
