This thread is for keeping track of every new breaking story and betrayal in the ongoing "slutgate" scandal.
The scandal revoles around Rush Limbaugh showing his age by calling the 30-year-old Democrat political activist and erstwhile Georgetown student Sandra Fluke a "slut" just because she tesified before Congress that she wants other people to pay for the $3,000 per year in contraception that she needs in order to stay worry-free as she hops from bed to bed, from one sexcapade to the next.
There have been so many new stories of Democrat slime and Republican betrayal breaking every hour that I thought a single compliation thread might be a good idea. We'll see if other freepers agree.
By the way (personal commentary now) I do believe that Rush did nothing more than show his age last week when he referred to Fluke as a slut. I am almost as old as Rush, and I can assure any youngsters out there in freeperland that back in the day, say 30 - 40 years ago, women like Sandra Fluke were "sluts". Not so in 2012. Nowadays she's apparently just a normal, sexually active girl.

Disagree that Rush committed career suicide - what can the media do to him? His listeners will not go away over this, and there will be plenty of advertisers to step in if enough of them leave. His influence will not be affected, and the media and the rats already hate and mock him, so what’s changed? Nothing.
What he did is to spring a trap meant for the Republican candidates - the libs must be furious that they got the wrong target. Rush isn’t running for anything, his head on the wall gets them nothing.
all you guys wantin to draw and quarter Rush are forgetting something... He is an entertainer. He is not a political analyst the way you want him to be. He is an entertainer who’s material is politics. he voices a common sense viewpoint and that is why he is popular. you cant blame him for the assholes with the republican stickers we call law makers. he talks about the things you speak of, almost daily. it isnt Rush who needs to change his line up L... it’s the lamestream. Beatin on rush for something that conservatives and any decent minded individual should be massively demonstrating out in front of the lamestream media offices protesting is coy to say the least...

Why not? It’s coming out of her employer’s “wealth” a seemingly unlimited resource, at least until such employer packs up and moves to China.
In the progressive view, this makes perfect sense.
Fluke said: "Without insurance coverage, contraception can cost a woman over $3,000 during law school." Law school is three years long. I'm pretty fast with my math, so Fluke said contraception can cost a woman over $1,000 per year.

This is a pretty important issue, as well, Lurker (IMO). Not only is it an issue involving our freedoms, it’s also an economic issue. All these mandates are driving insurance costs higher and higher and higher. There is no free lunch in health care costs. No matter how much Sebelius wants to wish it so.....making contraception mandatorily “free” in an insurance plan won’t be paid for with less babies born. People have always had access to reasonably inexpensive bc whether it’s through an insurance plan, free condoms, planned parenthood, etc.
These nutters in Congress or Georgetown, or wherever the liberal activists reside don’t want to stop with free bc pills, free aboritificants...they won’t know when to stop. If you caught my earlier post in this thread, Fluke also thinks insurance should cover sex change operations. (do you know how many tens of thousands that would cost?). These nutters will continue to feed on the host (taxpayers) until they kill it.
Even if Rush caused some “bad” PR in women’s or liberals’ circles, it’s PR. It’s about time we had some focus on this disaster of a healthcare law.
His biggest mistake was apologizing. He showed weakness. Of all people, Rush should have known that showing weakness by apologizing would open the floodgates of scumbag Democrat hell. And here it comes like a tidal wave. He committed career suicide today, IMO. -Lancy Howard
Good grief! All this panic is completely overblown. "Slutgate" will be old news in a matter of weeks, if not days. Rush has not been diminished a bit, and remains the undisputed king of talk radio. Don't let your enemies get you down!

Birth control is not all that Ms. Fluke believes private health insurance must cover. She also, apparently, believes that it is discrimination deserving of legal action if "gender reassignment" surgeries are not covered by employer provided health insurance.

Here's the good part - - it's only March.
Remember those ancient stories about Anthony Weiner, Marines pissing on corpses, and Koran burning? Next week it will be something else. By October, "slutgate" will be all but forgotten and Americans will be up to here with gas prices and the crippled, worsening economy. October is when stuff matters.
And normal, decent Americans will flush the accidental president Ubama down the toilet like a hardened, grunted-out jerky turd.
