Rush Limbaugh Apologizes Again, But Advertisers Continue To Sever Ties
Conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh is being criticized for recent comments he made about a Georgetown law student. He called Sandra Fluke a slut and suggested she post sex videos of herself on the Internet.

Rush Limbaugh offered more contrition Monday for his comments about a Georgetown law student, but the conservative radio talk-show host continued to lose advertisers as a result of outrage over his characterization of the woman as a slut and a prostitute.
Those two words were inappropriate and uncalled for, Limbaugh said at the start of his show on Monday, referring to Sandra Fluke, a student who had spoken out in behalf of insurance coverage for contraception. They distracted from the point I was actually trying to make and again I sincerely apologize to Ms. Fluke for using those two words.
Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh apologized for using harsh language to describe a law student who called for insurance coverage for birth control.
The apology reinforced a statement Limbaugh posted on his Web site Saturday in which he said that his choice of words was not the best and that he was attempting to be humorous in his attack on Fluke on two programs last week.
Many thought Limbaughs initial apology was inadequate, and their outrage helped compel advertisers to pull their commercials from Limbaughs program.
Two more national advertisers online giant AOL and tax service Tax Resolution said Monday that they were suspending their sponsorship of Limbaugh, bringing the total number of companies fleeing Limbaugh to nine. In addition, two local advertisers, Hadeed Carpet and Rug and window-replacement company Thompson Creek said they have pulled their ads from WMAL AM-FM, which airs Limbaughs show in the...

Lutwaffen? Was that supposed to be Luftwaffe?
If I were a lib, I’d be laughing, smiling and flipping everyone the bird too.
No one is lifting a finger to stop them.
I repeat an earlier post!

Maybe its time to create a new category accessible to all. A list of those companies that decide to NOT advertise on shows because of liberal pressures and a list of those that continue to ignore the liberal propaganda. Heck, maybe just a list of categories and conservative entries that we can access.
I think that it would be of great benefit to all and maybe alleviate some of the pressure that liberals and the media bring to bear.
Hope you take this into consideration...
There were plenty of Ad’s on Rush today here in Seattle. A lot more from local businesses than usual. The Ad’s are the result of ratings. So long as his audience does not go away, he will easily find new advertisers. There are 15,000 corporations and they all want exposure to their products and services.
Good-bye & good riddance!
Well said. Hope this comes to pass. We can’t lose time.
Yes sir. Thanks for the correction.
Listen. Rush survived oxycontin. Rush survived deafness and a cochlear ear implant. Rush survived because his audience did not abandon him. He kept them in the loop, never tried to weasel out, never made excuses. And he will survive this.
To the spectacle of the left successfully pressuring local radio stations to drop is show and successfully pressuring republican leaders to disavow him. The right will continue to fragment over his his initial remarks, his apology and make ineffective lunges at the advertisers who left him. JMO.
Rush needs to stop apologizing.
Correct. He looks like he’s groveling and Ms. Fluke ha snot accepted his apology either.
Bill Maher is proof that the issue is fake.
Like all liberal concern it’s limited to enlarging the govt
Personally, I find this hilarious. It’s like watching a few thousand minnows attacking a blue whale.
Bill Maher; Whoopi (not rape, rape) Goldberg and some of her fellow skunks on “The View”; Ed Schultz; Al Sharpton; Jesse Jackson; Maxine Waters; Sheila Jackson; Barbara Boxer; Sean Penn; Alex Baldwin, Lady Gaga; Madonna...and the list goes on endlessly.
I was within a few days of getting Carbonite. No more. AOL is a hard nut to crack.
