They’re too early. They should have waited until AFTER the nomination. Unless there is someone else they want to win the nomination.
Nudge, nudge. Wink, wink...

“Mitt Romney told CNN yesterday that unlike Rick Perry, he doesn’t think it’s wise to decribe Barack Obama as a socialist.
“Well, you know, words have a lot of unintended meanings, and calling people socialists probably goes on the fact that it is true that President Obama’s team and the president himself seem to believe that government has a better approach to our economy than does the private sector, and I disagree with that approach,” Romney said.
Said Romney: “I don’t use the word socialist or I haven’t so far, but I do agree that the president’s approach is government heavy, government intensive, and it’s not working.”
That answer is consistent with Romney’s general approach to speaking about the president, describing Obama as a good and well intentioned person who’s not up to the job of turning the country around.”

That answer is consistent with Romneys general approach to speaking about the president, describing Obama as a good and well intentioned person whos not up to the job of turning the country aroundAnd that's why Romney is winning the nomination race, and also why he will be crushed by Obama.
Not enough Republicans believe the truth about Obama. Too many give him credit for trying to do what he is supposed to do, and, seeing that he is doing something else, give him more credit by assuming the reason why things turn out the way they do is incompetence.
This goes deeper than Obama, though. The REASON enough Republicans believe this to allow Romney to be nominated is that a (slight) plurality of Republicans believe, or want to believe, that "the system" can go on as before, if only it is better managed.
Idiots. Useful idiots.

George Will, mouthpiece of the GOP-E on ABC, all but admitted the GOP had given up on the presidency this year and should focus on Congress.
He also attacked Rush Limbaugh, failing to apply that ability at listening and reading comprehension that can work when he feels like it. Had he actually listened he would have heard satire and sarcasm.
As it was, he promoted the DNC/MSM talking points.

Nope, I despise the enemy (Romney) so much that I’ll use an enemy weapon found on the battlefield against him.
So, if the Afghans in your unit begin to attack you, and the the closest weapon is a captured Taliban AK47, I assume you will refuse to use it. Is that right?

If you think Romney is the answer, then you've asking the wrong question. I don't think he's the answer. I thought Rick Perry was the answer and I threw my support behind Newt after Perry endorsed him. But if Romney wins tonight, we will be stuck with him. Michelle Bachman made a lot of sense. She said she will hold his feet to the fire on Obamacare, as we all should, if it comes to that. If obama gets a second term there will be no turning back to the America we knew. As much as everyone here hates Romney, as a parent, grandparent and free-market capitalist, I really don't think he wants all of his grandchildren living in obama's country.

You are 100% in the right.
But the the hive queens (Boehner, Drudge et al.) do not get that. The nameless, faceless ‘Party First’ drones do not get that. The nameless, faceless, ‘Cult First’ drones do not get that. The only good that might come out of a Willard candidacy is the potential dissolution of the GOP, so that the ‘Hobbits’ will no longer go there to have their policies shelved, their money sqaundered, their energy dissipated and their hopes dashed, year after drab year, decade after withered decade. More than twenty years now - an entire generation under the New World Order.

Romeny as supported/or supports the following:
1. Global Warming
2. Abortion
3. Gay Agenda, including Gay Marriage and Gay Adoption
4. TARP
5. Nominated Extremely Liberal Judges.
Romney continually lies about his positions and his past and the other candidates in the race.
Romney may not want his grandchildren living in Obama's country, but given his Progressive Liberalism as evidenced by his record, it just maybe an adjacent country.

I am sure that what xzins was referring to in his original post was that if the DNC has FACTS concerning Romney's past, then we sure as hell want to know what they are now, instead of after the nomination when all hope will be lost of putting up a candidate that can actuall win if Romney is the nominee.

Preparation in this case is dumping Romney now by all means necessary.
