“It has everything to do with the delusion that we need a social conservative who has no clue about anything else.”
Yes, why oh why aren’t people being educated on his big government voting record instead of fixating on social issues alone (which, combined with his foot-in-mouth, would lose us the general election)?
“Santorum is a weakling. He will not win against Obama, and even if he does, he is INCAPABLE of doing the job of President that will be facing him. He is going to have economic collapse and possibly a world war to deal with, and he has no idea how to handle either issue.”
He’d be as clueless and rattled as Mittens when the BHO machine attacks start - I shudder to think of either of them face to face with the Slickster on stage. And yes, Santorum is not up to the job of turning this country around and Mittens is a lib, plain and simple. It will require big ideas and sweeping changes, and Newt’s the ONLY one who has, and will implement, both. If people don’t get that, then maybe they deserve the “leader” they get.
Problem is, like in ‘08, the rest of us don’t :-(
In a general election, Newt would roll to victory in both states.
I agree but I was hoping the people would finally see that Newt is the only one talking about real solutions for our economic woes!
They would see it if not blinded by Santorum, and Newt’s personal baggage.
Newt knows politics, therefore I think he didn’t expect to win those two in the primary.
In a more rational world, he would have.
Since Georgia was his home state i would have spent more time in Okla and Tenn. Trying to win those. He could almost count Georgia as a given. Campaign there but not as much as Tenn and Oklahoma!!!
What I think he was trying to do was maximize his delegate count. GA had 76 available to win. It was proportional. The better Newt did there, the more delegates he got.
I think he felt OK and TN would not yield as many as would GA if he was able to run up his GA totals.
He sent surrogates to OK and did some campaigning in TN.
With all of that, he got a fair number of delegates in both states considering he came in third.
You have heard, I guess, that Santorum has delegate issues in several of the primary states.
Newt does better than Santorum in delegates as a percentage of his vote totals, because Newt doesn’t have delegate issues in those states.
Newt knows politics.
Thanks for the link.
Newt knows politics.
That he does I just would have put a real push in Tenn and Oklahoma. Don’t let those Northerners take it make um fight fore every inch!!!
You’re welcome.
Once in a while there is something worthwhile on MSNBC.
I was glad I watched that, it was very informative for me.
And she used Ronald Reagan jelly beans! LOL
