(CNN) - Rep. Dennis Kucinich of Ohio lost his bid for re-election in the state's Democratic primary Tuesday night to fellow longtime House Democrat Marcy Kaptur, CNN projects.

The two veteran lawmakers were drawn into the same district this cycle after a heated redistricting battle that followed the loss of two Congressional seats in the state.

OH HAPPY DAY!!!

Those of us who grew up in Cleveland in the 1970s and 1980s remember how badly he hurt our home town back then.

FINALLY he is out of office!

OH HAPPY DAY!!!

I don’t know. I’d prefer an admitted Marxist over one who pretends to be reasonable.

Can’t say that I’ll miss anything other than his crazy antics...like the recently announced ‘excess profits’ tax on major oil companies.
Dennis the Menace has been proffering the socialist pablum for far too long.

See ya, Dennis...

Problem with him losing is he was exploring the possibility of moving to my State of Washington and taking Norm Dicks place when he retires. Please don’t send him here.

You know it. I left in 1975 and never wanted to return. My entire family (except one of six of my siblings) left, even my father finally moved to Colorado. A lot of brains, education, entrepreneurship, and taxable income went with us.

He was perhaps the most honest Marxist in Congress.

Not only that, but he was so goofy as to show them for what they are.

Frankly, I'd rather have an honest Marxist than a "liberal."

Well according to Obama the economy is doing great so there should be no reason he couldn't find a job in the private sector doing one of those glorious green jobs Obama touts like putting up solar panels.

Kucinich was considering running here in Seattle after he got re-districted out in Ohio. Guess he figured since we already got a anti-American Commie (McDermott) representing us, so he decided not to.

I used to give props to Kucinich for being honest and forthright about his stances on issues... until he sold out his opposition to Obamacare for a ride in the “big boy seat” on Air Force One. That gleeful, “Look at me, Mommy” expression on his face as he followed Obama off that ramp had the unmistakable countenance of a closed deal.

Good riddance Marxist. You won`t be missed.

He is still thinking about running in WA. Funny thing is he could. Has to establish residency and file I think I heard by May. Seems inconceivable you could run in two different districts in same election but possible in this case.

“Joe the Plumber is leading in his district!

Cool beans!”

“She will face the winner of the Republican primary — Samuel “Joe” Wurzelbacher, who became known as “Joe the Plumber” during the 2008 presidential campaign — in November.”

Read that on the net a min ago, I think it would be great to get Joe the Plumber, a real American story. A guy just sick of all the liberal shennanigans runs for office and wins.
