I am watching FOX no call
Fox just called it too.
soon as I hit send! They called for the Rombat!
Well it was close enough to give Rick some more serious midwestern cred.
Clever how the Ohio Gop-e saved up those Romney votes to the end— Boss Daley couldn’t have done it better.
Newt stepped aside, just as in Michigan, and Santorum still couldn't knock Romney out. These Rust / industrial states were natural fits for Santorum.
What this is all leading up to is a by some push to put Romney & Santorum on the ticket together, an establishment dream team.
I was listening to the radio today, to Tom Sullivan’s afternoon talk show.
He said that tomorrow- the 7th- the GOP was going to give Rick, Newt, and Ron their orders to get behind Mitt and end this.
After tonight, I don’t see how they could.
AAAAUUUUGGGGHH!
Perish the thought!
That gives me the “willlies”!
Giving his industrial state background, Santorum was a natural fit for both Michigan and Ohio and even with Newt not actively competing in either, Santorum still couldn’t seal the deal in both places.
Absent Gingrich, Santorum would beat Romney one-on-one. Absent Santorum, Gingrich would beat Romney one-on-one. Together, they’re giving him the nomination.
No one seems to get that Newt stepped aside FOR santorum. No. It’s HIS fault santorum couldn’t pull his own weight. This is what happens when you deal with the devil, rick. You rode in on romney money and attack ads against Gingrich. You joined in the pileon. Now there you are. Happy?
Holy crap on crackers, this is bad news.
Two big states Rick had big leads in (Ohio, Michigan) he blew.

Well, here- from the same nifty website- are the 2008 results.
In 08, wasn’t even close.
I feel highly anxious after tonight.
My husband really dislikes Mitt Romney. He says he cannot be trusted.
Santorum is finished with this showing in the area he should have done better...his run is over regardless of his decent finish in these states. Paul has fallen out of sight and Newt, my favorite, is still bumping along close to the bottom. Willard is going to be the winner albeit he cannot get more than half of the party behind him, frankly, I think if he were alone on the ballot, he still would not get 60% of the vote.
So, regardless of the protestations of the candidates aside from Romney, I think it is all over but the shouting now. Paul probably will stay in to the end as this is his swan song as he is not running for Congress again and Newt and Rick are just spliting the anti Romney vote amongst themselves.
I believe that Newt would be the best candidate from an intellectional and debate point of view but he does not have the resources to win. The sole remaining point will be to determine whom Romney will ask onto his ticket.
Newt hardly stepped aside. He took 15% of the vote.
Newt didn’t step aside in OH> What planet are you living on? He took 15% of the vote we needed to stop Mittens. Newt is the spoiler here - not Rick. Newt didn’t even come close to Mittens in FL after the huge smear campaign Romney did on him. I’m shocked at the lack of reality on this board.
