That was quite a pronouncement by Larry Sabato about the VA GOP Primary ballot — and Fox News barely registered a blink.

I respect Larry Sabato a LOT. If he says something, I take him at his word.

“Romney & GOP kept Gingrich off of Virginia ballot”

I said that AS SOON as I learned that Gov.Perry and Newt didn’t “qualify” for the Virginia ballot, although both presented lists with MORE than 10,000 signatures.

Santorum DID not present a list of signatures at ALL in Virginia.

Perry did - 11,500.
Gingrich did - 11,000.

Guys, do you remember that?

February 6, 2012
Newsmax accidentally prints Romney Nevada win article 2 days early

Speaking in past tense, as if the Nevada Caucus had already taken place and Romney was the winner, Newsmax printed an AP story on Thursday that clearly demonstrates prior knowledge of a win that had not yet taken place, as if the outcome was pre-determined.

Wrong, both had several thousand more than required so they were not subject to a review. Big difference.

The GOP can go to hell. I will not hold my nose again to vote the party line. $crew them. I will sit out if Rino-Boy Romney is the nominee. No anti-gun, pro-abort, socialized medicine supportin’ piece of crap RINO will ever get my vote! NEVER.

I don’t really think that’s true or even possible. If he were the only one, possibly, but that’s not the case.

Seems like they are not afraid to show that this election cycle.

That's because the GOPe believes that conservatives will be good little boys and girls and unite behind Bishop Romney after he's immaculated at the convention.

THE TRUTH ABOUT DELEGATES before Super Tuesday:

Iowa, Colorado, Minnesota, Maine, Wyoming, Montana, Guam, Missouri etc, don’t allocate binding delegates.

Up to 340 delegates are unbound (unpledged). They are elected at conventions through the land.

The situation before ST of bound delegates:

Romney: 118 (Florida Arizona and Michigan delegates in dispute, as they couldn’t apply the rule “take it all”, as the primaries took place prior April 1st)
Gingrich: 29
Santorum: 17
Paul: 8

And all the others? I really don’t think anyone kept the other candidates off the ballot except for their own people by not following the rules correctly.

Bachmann, Cain and Perry would not have been on the ballot either.

For a long time I have wondered how our election procedures got so screwed up....I think that ALL primaries should be on the same day. With the media we have today and the staggered primaries, the media is telling us who to vote for. How many Newt people went to Santorum because of the non stop barrage of “Newt can’t win etc.” People watch the results and want to go with the flavor of the day/ What a screwed up mess were in

I blame the 24/7 news networks. They prey on people’s natural tendencies to be on teams or sides or groups of like thinkers. This is doing nothing more than broadening the schism between people in our country. They even have percentages for counties based on demigraphics. This just makes people huddle up even more and take sides. I remember Ralph Nader warning about the potential dangers that the media could generate.

All in the righteous name of profit.
