Samuel Wurzelbacher, better known as “Joe the Plumber,” won Tuesday’s Republican primary in Ohio’s 9th Congressional District, according to unofficial vote results from the Ohio Secretary of State.

With 100% of precincts reporting, Wurzelbacher bested opponent Steven Kraus to become the GOP nominee and will face Democratic Rep. Marcy Kaptur, the longest serving woman in the House of Representatives, in the fall.

Joe may be a sacrificial lamb....I bet this is an extremely liberal district.

Maybe, but with the way Dems are dropping from re-running, it may surprisingly favour Joe.

Kaptur will probably win handily, but look for some additional digging into Joe`s past by the powers that be in Ohio.

Was. This is a new district which after redistricting put Kaptur and Kucinnich against each other in the primary and Kaptur came out the winner last night. I don’t know the demographics of the new district but I would not count him out because there will be a certain amount of sour grapes voters from Kucinnich.

“Kaptur will probably win handily, but look for some additional digging into Joe`s past by the powers that be in Ohio.”

Just more of the statism that is befalling many states these days. Statism along with Progressivism are the cancers of America. Many people have bought the lies.

I hope not. He was demonized by the left...and had his records revealed by a county clerk (0bamaphile)who later lost her job. I hope he makes it.

It looks like the easiest way to navigate that district is by boat!

Does Joe the plumber have a change... in Ohio's 9th Congressional District?

Looking at the results from last night:

(D) U.S. Representative 9th Dist.
100% OF PRECINCTS REPORTING
Marcy Kaptur 42,462 56%
Dennis J. Kucinich 29,899 40%
Graham Veysey 2,876 4%

(R) U.S. Representative 9th Dist.
100% OF PRECINCTS REPORTING
Samuel J. Wurzelbacher 15,015 51%
Steven W. Kraus 14,152 49%

My lightning math says 75,237 Democratic votes against 29,167 Republican votes... does not bode well for dear old Joe!

So, let all have a few beers... for old Joe--

So could someone from Ohio who knows the political territory jump in here? Does Plumber Joe have any kind of a chance? Kaptur has been around for decades. Unions. Demwits. All love her. She even was asked by Ross Perot to be his running mate.

IMO? Tough to beat her in Ohio...

If you are a hot chick... I can offer way more than a little Bender in the morning!

However, if you are a dude... you are on your own--

I lived in the Toledo area for several months back in 2001. It is a dhimmicrap hotbed. Unless there is a major miracle, I expect musty Marci to take it again.

I was shocked, and still am shocked, with the speed that the MSM jumped into investigating Joe the Plumber after his contronting then-candidate Barack Obama in 2008.

The same MSM which has no curiousity at all about the past of the presidential candidiate and now president, decided that this private citizen needed to be investigated and exposed.

The same MSM which hired so many fact checkers to pore over every word of Sarah Palin’s book never fact checked anything written by Obama.

The same MSM which sent the multitudes up to Alaska to dig into Sarah Palin’s background when she was running for VP never dug into Obama’s background.

The media bias we all hear about is not just an issue of how stories are covered by the MSM. It’s also their decisions about what stories to push, and which stories they ignore.

If there is a strong Conservative Republican nominated, Joe could win big.
I would hope that the timid conservatives would at least wait to throw in the towel till the fight had started.
I think this will be a flagship race.
And on a practical note, Joe will need money.
Where is his campaign website?

".....there will be a certain amount of sour grape voters from Kucinnich(sic)."

Oh yeah, there will be just tons of batshit crazy left wingers ignoring another batshit crazy left winger to vote for a conservative.

Might be as many as two.....but I doubt it.
