Boycott ABC. Please read this story below and send it to all your Christian friends and family. We need to ban together and get this disgusting blasphemous TV show off the air.
Some one should inform the liberal secular progressive Christ-haters at ABC that OUR GOD WILL NOT BE MOCKED.
Hey I wonder what would happen if these liberal secular progressive Christ-haters at ABC made a primetime tv show mocking Muhammad and offending Muslim women? Hmmm. No way. They wouldnt dare do that, they just attack, mock and defile Christians and our Holy faith. No one elses. Why? Weird.
I was going to add the GBC TV show trailer into this post/story but it was such garbage and so offensive to Christian women I decided not to.
Stand up for Jesus and our holy faith. Combat Christophobia. Legalize Jesus.
(Excerpt) Read more at legalizejesus.com ...
at least they didn’t call the show “Good Christian Sluts”
Just shows there is an effort by ABC to keep it civil ;-)
Yet the same MSM slime jump all over Rush Limbaugh.
Like ABC would have a show called Good Muslim Bitches./sarc
Didn't they read obama’s White House Easter message?
I am sure the advertisers will pull out immediately.
I must have missed the tofu egg hunt?
Nothing I watch
I agree insofar as the show title is obnoxious, and the network worthy of boycott for it.
I don’t think they’re mocking Christ, though. As I understand it, the show isn’t about Christ or God. They’re mocking Christians. Calling Christians hypocrites (or bitches) isn’t blasphemy. Bigoted, perhaps. Obnoxious, definitely. But, not blasphemy.
Shorter ABC: “Christians who ‘mean it’ are dumb hicks and hypocrites, especially if they’re also southern gun-owners.”
Our God can't be mocked.
The left have lost all credibility, if they ever had any in the first place. Makes me ill!
I say we all strap on a bomb and walk into a crowded marketplace. /s
It may just be my perception, but abc really went downhill when David Brinkley retired.
Disgusting. This must be their annual tribute to 0.
To the extent possible don’t do business with them or any of their affiliates, and dump the stock.
Fight fire with fire. Make a note of the advertisers and contact the advertisers demanding they pull their ads, just like the Left did with Limbaugh.
You don’t have to actually watch the show. Record it and fast forward through the program and then stop at the ads and write down which ads are shown. Pay special attention to LOCAL advertisers who are more likely to respond to demands to pull the ads.
bump for later
Keep in mind that ABC is also Disney and ESPN. Parents who don’t watch ABC can threaten to boycott all things Disney.
Almost never watch ANY network shows.
The show is also offensive to Texans.
The best thing that can be done is not to watch it. If a fuss is made, people will flock to it to see what it’s all about. Just let it die.
I know some of you will object to the title I used here, but that is exactly the focus of the program, whether we like it or not.
Fundamentalist Evangelical Christian Conservative women
Rush took on one woman. ABC is set to take on every single Christian woman.
This is all out war on Christianity in our nation. They're using the nuclear option here.
So what? Unregenerate men are always blaspheming God. When did we start expecting sinners to act like saints?
Sorry I can’t join the boycott. (Not because I don’t believe in boycotts: there isn’t anything on ABC that I watch.)
I knew about this show a while. It is based on the book Good Christian Bitches. The people behind Melrose Place, Sex In The City and Lipstick Jungle are behind the show. A year ago they hired Leslie Bibb to play the main character and they tried to get it sold to a company. ABC put it as a mi-season replacement this season. Somehow they got Kristin Chenoweth, who went on Fox and Friends to promote the show, to join. She is also presently touring a CD.
Well the show was already attacked by that same group that was upset at ELlen Denegeres doing Jc Penny commercials, One Millions Mom, before it came out on television. They object to a preview they saw and the title Good Christioan Bitches. So ABC was forced to change the name the GCB and a subtitle of Good Christian Belles.
It pokes fun a Christians, Texans, Dalllas, conservatives and people who are in the south. So it was going to be very controversial and now other groups have joined the On Million Moms in boycott.
Show is left wing drivel. Makes the woman out to be womanizers who break their Christian vows. Have sex without protection and cheat on their men among other things Isaw on youtube clips.
New York City Councilman Peter Vallone Jr. is calling for a boycott of a The ABC show because as he says it attacks Christianity.
I hope this show gets canceled.
Hmm. The only thing I watch on that entire list is Wipeout.
We all know that outcome. Why should it not be the same from the Christains? Do they want to be thrown under the bus constantly? Do they not value their religion enough not to fight for it? The appear to me to have some kind of death wish. Is this off base? I do know that this will only get worse until they stand up but will it be too late.
Where is the boycott list??
I want to see a long list of companies pull their ads!
Replace ‘Christian’ with ‘Muslim’ or ‘Black’ and see how long it takes to pull it.
I agree with you. Just as in parenting, it is really important to pick your battles wisely. No, I do not want to be forced to pay for your abortions but for a TV show that offends me, I have the choice to change the channel. It’s as simple as that.
Thank you for making that point. I was also concerned about how Texans would be portrayed and will not watch it. I’m hoping it will go away much like the playboy bunny show that went away quickly.
Thank you for making that point. I was also concerned about how Texans would be portrayed as well as the mocking of Christianity and will not watch it. I’m hoping it will go away much like the playboy bunny show that went away quickly.
I just called and to make it easier for those of you would wish to call here is the fastest way;
then you can leave a 30 second comment.
or the website to post a comment is:
Not unless they read Matthew 15:25-26.
Us Texans are mocked all the time anyway, so are us Christians. We have one final judge and so does those who do the mocking. We honestly, are in final days.
I’m sure they will also air the new show “Good Muslim B*tches” any day now.
Having read the book, Ted is off base here. It doesn’t blaspheme Christ or Christianity at all. It does however have great fun with the hypocrisy of some of his followers. To boot, I would bet that you cannot find a church of any size at all that does not have amongst its congregation women who exemplify the justifiable stereotypes found in the book.
ABC’s attempt is to put ALL Christians in a bad light, so anyone considering turning to God, will not. There is good and evil. God and satan. They are doing satans work.
Come to Dallas and I’ll show you just how true to life the show is, provided of course that it’s close to the book. Kim Gaitlin is guilty of nothing more than telling the truth about life in Highland Park.
There may be pockets here and there of upper middle class Christian women that God needs to convict of their errors but there are millions of Godly American women that will be slimed by association. Sarah Palin has certainly been slimed in such ways!
“Justifiable” as in feeling one has the spiritual right to judge such people? People are complicated and the greatest battle one has are tendencies to lump folks into “worldly wisdom” defined categories. Someone wears certain clothing and jewelry and all of a sudden they are a hypocrite, one just “knows” this to be true....I’ve heard it all. Then one takes a second look at such people you describe and you discover loss or a childhood filled with want and abuse. They tend to be quite generous givers, perhaps out of guilt or conviction, though a second look often reveals a wealth of compassion.
As for so-called sexual escapades...such women may or may not have erred in such ways but sinful gossip hounds just cloud the issues and often defame such people unjustly. Some of them are Narcisstic without much self consciousness of how such is evident to those around them, yet it tends to offend those most who are themselves inclined to Narcissm. How much more narcisstic would such women be without God working in them, becomes the question for me. God has a salvation plan tailored for all of us and it sometimes brings each of us thru territories we would never have imagined.
The question becomes in the end, why such women would even still cling to the trappings of Christianity? Yet that question pertains to all of us. None of us dare say we stand lest we fall without the grace of Christ.
“Their goal is to slander Christians.”
Disgusting. We really need to shove this type of “civil discourse” right back in their faces. The only we will win in November is to fight like rabid dims. Look how Kaptur took apart and beat Kucinch yesterday. That is how it is done.
God can't be mocked, which is why He is Lord. This is a key difference between the God of Christians and Jews, and the gods of other faiths. Other faiths have to scream and yell (and worse) because their gods are weak.
God is all powerful, and has no weaknesses. Those who try to mock the Lord make fools of themselves, and don't need my help. Only my prayers.
Hypocritical Christians, on the other hand, which is what the show is supposed to be about (as it is based on a book with the same name), can be mocked. It could be argued that they probably should be mocked. From what I've read in the Bible, God does not cotton to hypocrites.
I don't have cable, and don't know anything else about this show apart from what is in the news. It looks stupid, and not worth my time. Prayers, charity, spreading the Good Word, and trying really hard to be a good Christian, instead of saying I'm a good Christian... those I can get on board with.
Not to ignore the rest of your post, but why do you separate Catholic and Christian?
I suspect anyone who makes an argument that ascribes motive to another. It is rarely accurate.
That said, are you familiar with the work in question at all, or are you merely speculating and/or projecting? I, myself, have read the book, which I found to be quite good. People like the characters do exist, and yes, they make for good reading.
Another show by primarily gay writers to portray gays as normal, and heterosexuals as warped.
