After a huge rush of optimism that Elizabeth Warrens candidacy would end Scott Browns hold on his US Senate seat, Democratic insiders and activists are awakening to a new political reality, driven by a series of recent polls and Browns success these past few months in crafting an independent bipartisan image.
The campaigns reshaped landscape, which appears to have shifted in Browns favor, has created a quiet buzz among some in the party that Warren, despite her incredible burst onto the Massachusetts electoral map last fall, has hit some strong headwinds and will need to recapture the excitement that lit up the Bay States political world when she entered the race in September.
A new poll released over the weekend by the Western New England University Polling Institute in partnership with The Republican newspaper of Springfield found Brown leading Warren, his top Democratic challenger, 49 to 41 percent. That closely reflects several other surveys taken in the last month that also show Brown with a lead.
In a handful of previous polls, Warren had led Brown, or come within the margin of error, while Browns favorability ratings appeared to be slipping.
As the mood of the electorate appears to have swung toward the incumbent senator, it has shaken much of the early confidence among the Democrats who, thrilled with the energy that went into her first months of Warrens campaign, were convinced that she would beat Brown in November.
Elizabeth Warren has to show she has a second act, said Dan Payne, Democratic media analyst. Payne said his conversations with Democratic leaders suggested that there is some degree of concern.
She has come out of the starting gate incredibly fast, but since then she has plateaued, he said. The burst of good feeling that greeted her candidacy has worn off.

One minor point... Willard is a Socialist. Zero is a Stalinist.
nhwingnut, that is an EXCELLENT summary.
Lol. Great! Atleast after the dust clears we maybe lucky enough to see the two factions duke it out.
Maybe that will be our opportunity to re-establish the constitution as the law of the land.
We need a revolution, that’s for sure (as Jefferson said about the tree of liberty).
2. If the above majority knew, they would feel betrayed and enraged. They might actually become active and redefine the parties and vote.
3. Likewise, there are no where near the amount of communist sympathizers as the country is led to believe. That is all part of the propaganda. I think actual pro-Americans greatly out number the communists/socialists.
4.ALL WE HAVE TO DO is educate them. We have to take the message outside of FR.
Anything I post is free for anyone to copy and past to any comment section they find anywhere. We need to spread the word!
Here's an example anyone can cut and paste:
We, the Republic, are being denied the choice to say NO to socialism and we had better act now!.(vanity).
There is no difference between Romney and Obama. We, the Republic, are being denied the choice to say NO to socialism.
Its a setup.
The fix is in.
We, the Republic, have been loosing a war of financial attrition for decades. We, the Republic are engaged in a war with those who govern us. Drastic measures are required to defeat this enemy in order to stop the bleeding that each of us are seeing in the depreciation of our savings, the constant onslaught of taxes, fees, and licenses. Each of them designed to remove our ability to live free.
If a slave is a person who works for no money, then a paid person who works with no money left for savings or investment is therefore a slave. In each case work is done, the slave is fed and roofed.
If we spread the word fast enough, we can awaken the good and right sleeping masses.
Go Brown!
I don’t really know if it can be avoided. What needed to be done should’ve been done decades ago. Communism/Fascism/Totalitarianism has just been repackaged under the aegis of liberalism. The Democrat party is the vehicle, and the Republican party is rapidly moving in that direction (the establishment already has). The culture and the education system is firmly in its service. Using the internet to raise awareness is like alerting folks to a bonfire already in progress. The big goals by the left have been accomplished. Once you have an enormous amount of people working for the government, unions and close to half the population not paying taxes (receiving welfare), with the minority paying for the rest, we’ve lost the war and the Republic has crumbled.
If we can not revert back then we should plan now. Maybe we can plan to be ahead of it all.
You have to figure that we will avoid a war with China when they call in the debt. For after all, we're just one big communist/socialist family.
I envision the West Coast will be parlied as payment.
We do not want to be surrounded by them on both flanks, and we need Industry and Coast to provide trade roots.
Perhaps a plan to organize the South East as the new beacon of freedom might be a goal.
Not sure why they care. Brown is as liberal as any of them.
something tells me that the “Conservatives hostile toward Brown” amount to about 1% of the MASS electorate. So they are not part of his majority coalition.
