Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) How strongly does Barack Obama believe in unlimited abortions? Strongly enough that the only article he wrote for the Harvard Law Review while he was a law school student talked about how fervently believed in legalized abortion. Obamas name wasnt attached to any other legal scholarship during the time.
In an article unearthed by the Politico web site, Obama, as the president of the Harvard Law Review, wrote an unsigned article touting abortion.
The web site says the article comes in at six pages and is contained in the third volume of the 1990 Harvard Law Review.
In the work, Obama considered a parenthetical abortion issue whether unborn children have a legal right to sue their mothers for damage sustained during pregnancy, from such things as alcohol or illegal drugs.
Obama says no and writes supportively of the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court case and another from the Illinois Supreme Court saying no such right exists.
According to Politico, Obama wrote: "[T]he case raises the broader policy and constitutional considerations that argue against using civil liability to control the behavior of pregnant women."
In a discussion of abortion itself, Obama wrote that government has more important business than "ensuring that any particular fetus is born."
He also decried any limits on abortion, saying the government has an interest in "preventing increasing numbers of children from being born in to lives of pain and despair."
Politico said the Obama campaign confirmed the pro-abortion presidential candidate wrote the piece in question and that it was one of the typical articles law students would write briefing and opining on federal and state court decisions.
In an email to the web site, Obama spokesman Ben LaBolt also confirmed that Obama "remains committed to" the sentiments he expressed in the piece.
Obamas article is on page 823 of Volume 103 of the Harvard Law Review and would likely be located in larger public libraries and databases that chronicle legal articles in scholarly publications.
Yet another smoke screen/distraction..? Its hard to tell because the last 3+ years have lies on lies.
Ok; I'll tell you:
Without LIFE the others really don't amount to much.
His argument is very poor, and he simply characterizes alternatives to his view as dubious or ill-conceived. That is mere name-calling, and not principled or factual argument.
My thoughts exactly. This could explain the apologies to other countries, his reasons for allowing gas to go higher (Rush spoke of the guilt of using more than our fair share), and his thoughts on abortion. He apparently feels guilty about his existence, American existence, his mother not able to obtain a legal abortion. This is not way to go around in life, and of course it makes it dangerous for all the rest of us too.
He also decried any limits on abortion, saying the government has an interest in “preventing increasing numbers of children from being born in to lives of pain and despair.”
Yes, one suspects that this is perhaps a diversion from some other things that may have been written for him (or maybe even that he wrote).
I'm sure she did believe in abortion. Only it was illegal in 1961. If Roe v. Wade had been decided in 1960, Obama would have been properly disposed of as medical waste.
Obama sees things in terms of a Third World socialist. His father was an African Marxist and his mother a leftist skank. Nothing in his background or experience - far left community organizer, 20 years with the hate-monger Pastor Wright, close friendship with terrorist Bill Ayers, shady real estate deal with Syrian (now jailed) swindler Tony Rezko, associations with Louis Farrakhan and black militants - makes him a real American in terms of values or world view. Obama spent 150 days in the U.S. Senate, about 120 of them campaigning. He spent a few years in the Illinois state legislature voting present. Never has America been so poorly led. Its like the nation committed suicide by stupidity.

mmm mmm mmm
Can’t help but think:
Look what Breitbart started!
And you don't see the contradiction there?
If they did, how would they contact plaintiff's attorneys? Ouija board?
Mr. Ertelt isn't usually hysterically garbled. I'll chalk this one up to his having to attempt to make sense of an "argument" proposed by young Barry Obama.
You hit the nail on the head right there. He’s half whitey for heaven’s sake. I’m sure that burns him every damn day!
his Dad was a drunk, left him, his mother dumped him on her parents. seems he somewhat rejected the love of his grandparents. trying to live up to an absent and then dead drunk father.
He has sold his soul to cinders .... thus the black heart.
My question...who's your real daddy, kids?
This isn’t surprising. It’s useful for knowing what kind of people Obama will appoint to the Federal Courts. With many current justices on the Supreme Court getting on in years, that’s an urgent issue.
“seems he somewhat rejected the love of his grandparents.”
His grandfather seems to also have been a loser. His grandmother was the breadwinner.
