The lead investigator in Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s review of the authenticity of Barack Obama’s birth certificate today unloaded a bombshell about the case: that he was told by sources members of the media were threatened with federal investigations should they continue to report on the birth certificate issue.
Lead investigator Mike Zullo told WND that as he was preparing information to be presented to the public “it was clear that the mainstream media was not going to be in attendance” at the sheriff’s scheduled new conference, where he revealed facts suggesting both fraud and forgery in the image of a Hawaiian birth certificate that the White House released as “proof positive” of Obama’s eligibility for office last year.
“During our investigation, we actually were told [that media] had been threatened with FTC investigations. Commentators [had been] threatened with their jobs,” Zullo said. The threats were so intimidating that some individuals quit their positions over safety concerns for their families, he said.
So the problem became to get the information to the American public in spite of an intentional media blackout, since citizens still must make critical leadership decisions about their government through the election process.

Why would anyone in the media feel threatened by an investigation? They are all clean and law abiding citizens with no embarrassing moments in their past, I would assume.

In all seriousness, just how credible is WND these days ? I know their history and I read Poe’s book a long time ago and they’ve been right in the past but how about now ? Their site seems to go for the sensational but also often has some pretty whacky stuff too.

I believe it. It is not JUST the MSM as though the MSM is one single entity. The MSM is comprised of print, audio, and visual as in Newspaper/magazine, radio, and television as well various and assorted new media resources. This comprises millions of people that have to be kept in line to tout the Leftist propaganda, and not vary from that which is demanded of them.
It would take extreme measures to keep that many people in line to present, and promote the lies they subject us to daily. No defectors means they are afraid for their lives IMO.

While one can write what Roth and Hagmann said, you need more than “he said, she said” when dealing with Obama and his marxist minions.
Breitbart understood this and tried his best to present physical proof-documentation-evidence. That he used this investigative technique is a credit to his integrity, and will be one of his longest lasting legacies to younger journalists.

The media lackeys of the Administration who are highly placed in their carreers make very good money, enjoy prestige and access to the seats of power.
Losing that, being driven out by their masters is even more of a threat than just being shot. No 'wetwork' required, because the rest will play along if some individual won't, and will do the dirty work of destroying the carreer of anyone who gets out of line for the administration because failure to do so would expose them as complicit.
There are good odds that the DOJ has some goods on most of the major media players as well, and things only whispered about would be front page above the fold ASAP to villify them in the minds of the sheeple and destroy any credibility.
The media are all about impressions and perceptions, and the masses can be whipped into a frenzy against someone overnight--even, if not especially, one of their own.
