First off, I apologize for not getting back to you in a timely manner.
As to my remarks that I felt Romney has a better chance of winning than Rick; that is purely based upon the conditions as I see them. Romney has a tremendous organization, highly motivated and ruthless, Romney is much more likely to have the funding to match Obama and he polls much better nationally w/moderates and women ...key areas that the GOP nominee will need.
This does not mean I think that Romney is a better Conservative than Rick or that either one will beat Obama. I just see Romney as the most likely of the two to succeed.

Your take on the matter seems quite possible; that AMERICA is going to be faced with the 'choice' of the lessor of two evils.
Obama is the 'evil' we've seen; while Romney represents an evil that has been largely covered up.
"We've always been at war with Eastasia" may come into play as our Smiling Dictator brings his guns to bear on the one who likes cars, and lakes: lots of little lakes...
