Samuel Wurzelbacher, who on Thursday morning accused CNN of being like TMZ and trying to trap him with “gotcha questions,” explained to POLITICO immediately following the tense interview that he is “sick of the gossip and drama.”

Reached on his cellphone after his early morning TV hit, Wurzelbacher, better known to many Americans as “Joe the Plumber,” explained why he had gotten flustered.

During his conversation with CNN’s Zoraida Sambolin, Wurzelbacher – who won an Ohio Republican congressional primary this week — began to show his first signs of frustration when asked why he believes he’s qualified to run for Congress.

“What qualifies me?” Wurzelbacher said, laughing. “One, I’m an American citizen. Two, I’m very much involved in the process of what’s going on. I guess my question would be, what qualifies the current politicians who are killing our country, Republicans and Democrats alike?”

He added, “I’m sorry, it just seems like a silly question.”...........................I think Joe has great potential to be a good conservative Congressman.

Better get used to the shenanigans,Joe. It’ll get worse before it gets better. Just ask Sarah Palin. Something tells me you can handle it though!

I really like Joe, but he is not gonna win. Kaptur is the #2 Congressional purveyor of pork, perhaps trailing only the late John Murtha. People in Toledo are addicted to the Federal Pork she brings home.

The leftwing media cannot allow this to stand.

...began to show his first signs of frustration when asked why he believes he’s qualified to run for Congress.

This should have been his response:

No Person shall be a Senator who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty Years, and been nine Years a Citizen of the United States, and who shall not, when elected, be an Inhabitant of that State for which he shall be chosen. [U.S. Constitution, Article I, section 3, clause 3]

Next question?

Wurzelbacher does not kiss up to CNN, therefore he must be a bigot.

“Let’s … stop with the seventh grade shenanigans.”

What? CNN and all will loose their viewers. IMHO, Seventh grade seems to me to be a little high for their average viewer's comprehension.

Sorry Joe, if you are getting into the ring you better be prepared for it.
It's not right but that's how it is.
Develop a very thick skin so you can concentrate on the issues.
Do a Gingrich: Fire back without stooping to their level and don't let it get to you.
(Easier said than done of course.)

Look, I understand what you are saying, but what’s your point? Just give up? Roll over?

I’m tired of the cynicism and defeatism. That’s exactly why we’re where we are.

This is what we need to keep in mind:

“The last time we saw one whole despotic region of the world come tumbling down we could name the heroes and the moments that propelled it:

An electrician named Lech Walesa, jumping a wall at the Gdansk shipyard. Boris Yeltsin atop a tank in front of the Russian White House, defying the Communist old guard in 1991. Pastor Laszlo Tokes, refusing an eviction notice from his Romanian flat as crowds of demonstrators gathered. A playwright named Vaclav Havel before a joint session of Congress, giving in Czech a speech quoting the Declaration of Independence.

These men weren’t perfect, but they performed brave deeds at pivotal moments in history. They helped Westerners find common ground with a part of the world blocked from view until the fall of the Berlin Wall behind strange languages, customs, and a muffled history.”

If you want to be a wet blanket, just...well, just don’t.

A baseball pitch directed at the chin of the batter. A knockdown pitch, if you will.

I believe that “chin music” is an Italian expression to F-off made with a swish of the hand under the chin.

Chin music is a baseball term. It is a pitch thrown high and inside (under the chin) intended to back the batter off the plate and open up the inside for subsequent pitches.

Call the “gun nazis”, call the chile welfare service people, notify PETA, notify the Endangered Specie investigators, call the EPA to stop the insertion of LEAD into the environment. Where was the day care provider as this innocent babe wandered into such danger?

We used to cruise on the Princess Line, whose only option for CCTV news was CNN. It was annoying, but we dealt with it on short cruiss. Then we were cruising when Dick Cheney had that gun accident. All we heard was CNN’s spin and we were dying to hear the truth. A 14-day cruise completely isolated from the truth. arrrgh! Princess refuses to carry FNC; we refuse to use Princess.

I was trapped in New Zealand for two years with only CNN International (which is 1000% more leftist than regular CNN). Being an election year they had total, wall-to-wall coverage of the Democrat convention and blocked the Republicans. The only thing worse was BBC International. There’s a reason the World hates us. They NEVER receive a single, positive word in America’s defense.

Give me a break. This was a set up by the MSM and the Dems. Instead of discussing the real issues that affect all Americans, the MSM plays this game with Reps. They do it at every level. Concentrate on social issues and avoid substantive issues.

Joe should have used the Romney approach. You ask the questions, but I answer them how I want period. He then should have launched into his message on jobs, the economy, etc. Just ignore the follow-ups and continue to stay on message. It drives the MSM mad.

Exactly. "Credentialism" or "Expert-ism" is how the Ruling Class exerts control. For them the vetting process consists of having candidates approved by "their" academics.
