Israel will give sanctions on Iran a chance to work and will not attack its nuclear installations in the coming days or weeks, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Thursday after returning from talks in Washington.
“I am not standing with a stopwatch in hand. It is not a matter days or weeks, but also not a matter of years. Everybody understands this,” Netanyahu told commercial Channel 10 in an excerpt from a recorded interview.
Netanyahu has hinted Israel could resort to force should Tehran - which denies suspicions it is covertly trying to develop atomic bombs - continue to defy major powers’ diplomatic pressure to curb its nuclear program.
“We would be happy if this thing is resolved peacefully, if Iran decides to stop its nuclear program,” he said.
“To stop it, to dismantle its facility in Qom, and to stop enriching uranium. I will be most happy, I think all Israel’s citizens will also be happy.”

If Obama is fighting this hard to get Israel to hold off, I’d take that as a sure sign Iran is on the verge of having active nukes.

Iran is going to get a bomb. Israel isn’t going to attack Iran - and even if they did it would only slow them down. Israel doesn’t have the resources for a sustained campaign against Iran without US assistance, and in the end the US won’t help with actual military support. Americans are too war weary and by the time the public is willing to participate in another conflict, it will be too late.
A mute subject. Once Iran strikes Israel with a nuke, Israel will be forced to counter with nukes. Americans along with all who are on this earth will be faced with Armageddon.

I cannot imagine being a citizen in Israel right about now. Knowing that I, and my family, could be incinerated by a mad regime is beyond belief? Didn’t the world go through this bullshit once before?

From my perspective and based on his recent media appearances...I'd say look for something around late May. And we'll all read about it many hours after the fact.

I’d say late April, although taking delivery on those bunker busters sounds like misdirection. Israel will rub out Hizbollah’s buried bunkers with relatively few shots — once those buried Iranian missiles start to detonate, they won’t stop until 99 percent of them have blown. It’ll be a new kind of “trench warfare”. ;’)
We’ll know more if there’s reports of unexpected spottings of Israeli aircraft, such as flying east to west and back over the Med.

Thanks! Of course, the 1967 war was timed to just barely preempt the known start date of Nasser’s joint attack with the other Arab states.
