Does this apply to those with Texas licenses? I’m going to be at Ft. Sill for 6 months and would like to know if it’s time to upgrade the grips to something a little more interesting. Hey, I need a reason to sell it to the other half.

I guess I could just get an OK license as well . . .

BTW, this makes me proud to be from Oklahoma, although I live in Texas. It’s nice to see Oklahoma leading Texas with this issue!

Good question. Not on base, though. Federal law prevails. BTW, I served 16 mos. at Ft. Sill. 154th and 243rd Aviation Co.

My son is now attending OU - though I’m stuck here in Kalifornia... can I join in the pride vicariously?

I would check with CLEET or the OSBI to be sure, but Oklahoma and Texas honor each other’s concealed carry licenses, so I don’t see why it wouldn’t apply here. I have not read the bill yet, so I don’t know if there are any provisions for disallowing non-Oklahomans from open carry.

I’m not sure I’ll open carry when off post anyway. Knowing the Army, they’ll implement a policy that will strip us of any carry in any manner.

I would obviously never carry while in uniform.
