Alabama Republicans are up to bat next, and right now its a near three-way tie going into next Tuesdays primary.
The first Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Republican Primary Voters in Alabama finds Newt Gingrich barely ahead with 30% support to 29% for Rick Santorum and 28% for Mitt Romney. Texas Congressman Ron Paul trails with seven percent (7%) of the vote. One percent (1%) prefers some other candidate, and six percent (6%) remain undecided. This Alabama survey of 750 Likely Republican Primary Voters was conducted on March 8, 2012 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 4 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Field work for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, LLC. See methodology.
What is wrong with you people? Why can’t you just be happy for your guy without all the Saul Alinsky ‘destroy your opponent’ crap. Getting really really old.
Hey Red-just posted another- ahead of you by 2— Let’s go, my friend. Usually away in the afternoons, so you can catch up. -:)
Speaking for my self, I like my candidates to ‘walk the walk’.
Tell them Dick Morris said on FOX that there’s a 40% chance no candidate gets the majority of delegates and they have to make a deal at the convention. This needs to happen to at the very least stop Romney from selecting another RINO as V.P. and ensure Santorum or Newt gets the slot, or give Newt and Rick enough to join forces and beat Romney. If Romney wins enough delegates it will be VERY CLOSE. Every vote in every state counts in deciding if Romney wins it or this goes to the convention. FOX is saying it’s inevitable he gets the most delegates and they may be right, but it’s not inevitable that he gets over 50% and enough to keep it from a floor fight at the convention.
Sure thing :-)

Would serving cookies at the caucus help? If so, I’ll start baking!
What’s up with you, Kenny?
Santorum people come on Newt threads and claim he’s been sent by God, and how dare you attack his FAMILY (hint, we’re holding HIM accountable for it), if you don’t like seeing them all in lockstep behind him, and there’s one who accused me, and several others, of working for the devil because we’re not for Santorum.
That’s just the tip of the iceberg.
Imp, i think my decision to avoid KS was wise. Not even the locals give 2 hoots. I think RS is the guy in KS to beat mR.
I still need political therapy. I will not campaign anymore with the GOP vermin.
This race is a dead heat at the moment. Any one of them could be in the lead at voting time.
Newt is the one with the bold plan for the future of America. He is a change agent, a visionary, an historian, a great communicator and the one willing to take on the GOP establishment and democrats to save America.
Makes me wonder how the tally would be like in Alabama had it merely been :
Gingrich, Romney, Paul
or
Santorum, Romney , Paul
One thing is certain ROMNEY ISNT SELLING WELL IN THE SOUTH.
I think Rick S. will win KS caucus. Huckabee did in 2008 with 60%., McCain was a distant 2nd, and Romney came in 3rd with 3%. Everyone I talk to is for Newt, but think he has no path to the nomination. My husband and I are going to vote for Newt.
Not me, I don't trash any conservative candidate (excludes Romney & Paul). Whoever we get whether it's Newt or Rick I will rally behind 100%. I just don't like the negatives toward either, we're only hurting ourselves there.
Try this.
“Have you heard the good news?”
Call a local Mormon church. Give them the names and addresses of your family members. Don’t identify yourself, just tell them that you know that these folks would like to “hear the good news”, soon. Tell them that these folks are bashful, so it may take several visits. LOL
After about a week, call the church back and tell them that your friends are sorry for their rudeness, have changed their minds and would like to see them again. Keep doing this until they beg you to take them to the caucus.
Well darn, I just noticed that your caucus is tomorrow... so it may be too late. Well, it might have worked. LOL
Good luck.
GO NEWT GO.....
Poll: Gingrich on top in Mississippi (Newt 35% Myth 31% Santo 20% and RuPaul 7%)
If Newt takes the nomination, I become a Newtonian :-)
Its like the frog in a pot of boiling water. Newt is our last chance of jumping out.
Cept lots of GA conservatives think their in a hot tube and every thing is Peachy.
GREAT News!
I hope this continues. He needs this really bad.
I’ll tell you what... Santorum and/or Gingrich absolutely MUST win Alabama, Mississippi, and Kansas next Tuesday if we are to have any remaining hope of keeping the nomination away from Romney. I’m very uncomfortable right now with the fact that Rasmussen now has Romney leading by eight points in Mississippi. If Romney ends up taking one or more of these states in the Deep South as the result of Rick and Newt splitting the conservative vote, then we might as well resign ourselves to start referring to Mitt as “Republican Presidential Candidate Romney”.
Please... Let’s pray and do everything we can to make sure this DOESN’T happen.
Perhaps Romney and Gingrich could reach an agreement, Santorum writes off Alabama and Gingrich writes off Mississippi, and thus Romney is denied the bragging rights of a victory in either.
I know it’s probably too much to ask for.
