The White House is preparing a counter-offensive in defense of President Obama's health care law, tied to the Supreme Court's pending decision about the law's controversial individual mandate.

The New York Times:

On Wednesday, White House officials summoned dozens of leaders of nonprofit organizations that strongly back the health law to help them coordinate plans for a prayer vigil, press conferences and other events outside the court when justices hear arguments for three days beginning March 26.

The advocates and officials mapped out a strategy to call attention to tangible benefits of the law, like increased insurance coverage for young adults. Sensitive to the idea that they were encouraging demonstrations, White House officials denied

...to help them coordinate plans for a prayer vigil,,,,

Ah, yes, the inspiring, ginned-up, Astroturfed, "prayer vigil" politically crafted for the TV cameras which, no doubt, the compliant, corrupt MSM (i.e., the Obama campaign team) will lap up like the Obama poodles they are. Say, can they bring in the Greek column to this prayer vigil. What an insult to the ear of God.

Do you think he was a community organizer?

Note to Republicans: READ THE BILL! That will put you one step ahead of any Democrat, and will give you all the ammunition you need.

I think somehow, in their dillusional world, the admin. believes they can appeal to the religious to willingly give up religious liberty (or at least they will spin it that way). They really are not sane. They have lost it...

It’s even a dumber strategy to anger the SCOTUS while they decide the fate of Healthcare. They are becoming desperate.

that’s the sort of desperation that lends credence to these “next election not gonna happen” rumors.

Oh, that’ll impress the Supreme Court: a desperate administration seeking to strong arm their decision by Chicago thug tactics. Not.

Yes, I'd love to see them "get in the face" of Justice Roberts or Scalia...or better yet, piss off Alito.

On second thought, I want the SCOTUS in a bubble for the next 6 months, so as no harm can come to them--including would-be assaults by these Obama thugs.

Fox had a story the other day saying Team Obama was going to use a Scalia-based argument to defend their wildly unpopular law.

I have read some of the analysis, and they may have a legal case—but I wonder if it’ll succeed. This seems to be a bit too much for the government to demand.

I think we had better get busy and plan something bigger and better. We must win this battle

Make the Issue of Defeating Judicial Supremacy a Campaign Issue

Americans can play a vital role by supporting politicians that make specific pledges to check and balance the Supreme Court when the Court makes a constitutional error.

For example, if every major candidate running for President in 2012 were to pledge to join the effort to challenge judicial supremacy, then it would send an unmistakable signal to the judicial branch that it had better consider its rulings carefully lest it subject itself to severe erosion in its public support.

A Role for State Legislatures and the People

The people can also appeal to their state legislatures to call on Congress and the president to act every time the courts infringe on their liberties, traditions, and history or whenever pending litigation threatens to dramatically change the existing legal system in a state.

If there was a nationwide watchdog committee monitoring the courts and engaging the state legislatures whenever the courts behave radically, judges might think twice about radicalizing our laws.

State legislators and state Attorneys-General might similarly take actions to issue warnings to the federal judiciary about the consequences of the judicial branch exceeding its powers.

...like increased insurance coverage for young adults.

What that really means is "we're forcing young adults (who are usually healthy and tend to think they're bulletproof so don't buy insurance, or buy a cheap plan with a large deductible) into the system so they have to pay more money for insurance so that we can increase the dollars available to pay for those who need treatment."

It's not something that actually benefits young adults, it's something that benefits Obamacare and is required to "make it work". Funny how they tout that as a benefit of Obamacare!

As I posted on the other thread on this subject:

Let's get this straight!

A "prayer vigil"?

What happened to "separation of church and state"?

There is a certain irony here which would be laughable, if the implications for the future of liberty were not so serious.

An Executive Branch which considers the U. S. Constitution to be "flawed" because it prohibits elected representatives in government from imposing their will on citizens is not an Administration which respects the First Amendment's protections for freedom of conscience and free exercise of religion.

Even the Creator endowed individuals with a free will.

Will "prayer warriors" at this "prayer vigil" ask the Creator to grant to this Administration a coercive power He, himself, has not imposed on His creatures?

I have lost all hope of our judicial system making the right decisions in more than 50% of their cases.
