My God, does all this man do is whine? I hate it when 0bama whines...

I find Santorum shares a lot of irritating personality quirks with Obama and the whining is one of them.

Santorum is right , His campaign would benefit from Newt dropping out .

Newt would benefit if Santorum dropped out.

They would both benefit if Paul dropped out,

Why isn’t santorum asking Paul to drop out, paul hasn’t got a Chinaman,s chance anyway, but nobody is asking him to drop out. Why?

“I truly believe Rush has (Mark Steyn) on to do his antiNewt dirty work.”
_______________

I think you're correct in that assumption. Rush clearly is no friend of Newt. Using Steyn as his “hatchet man” allows Rush plausible deniability.

(I still listen to Rush as I enjoy his humor and get a kick our of how he skewers the Dems; same/same w/Steyn; whose columns I have also always enjoyed ...I just do so knowing that whatever they say will be weighted against Newt and mentally filter the content accordingly.)

My assumption is that would be seen as alienating the hip, young crowd. At least that sounds like something a campaign adviser would say.

Hard for me to understand why the hip young crowd would be for an old loon like Paul.

Mittsky trying to portray THEM as pro-abortion makes my blood boil. I don’t think even Obama would try to do that.

Sad that he was ever considered viable. He’s not read for primetime.

re Ron Paul - excluding the fact that we need someone strong on the military in this time of the rising up, once again, of the Caliphate - He does espouse many strong issues. However, during 22 years in Washington, he sponsored 620 bills. Only ONE got passed - an inconsequential one allowing a federal custom house to be sold. That's a 'success' rate of 0.03%.

If you pay attention, you'll realize he doesn't talk about his past achievements - only what he'd LIKE to do. He hasn't been effective in 22 years.

The media is silent on this because Paul drains votes away from Newt. There is evidence that Paul is tag teaming with Romney - he NEVER attacks or speaks ill of Romney, nor Romney of him - in return for a plum play off - for him or his son? (Maybe for son to get VP slot?) Politics is the nastiest of businesses.

This would be the Republican Mainstream Media?

When we get to the point that our two major political parties only give us a choice between two evils, it is time for Christian Conservatives to form a new party.

After AL and MS it will be a two man race. Newt and Williard.

I don’t think there are enough of us to form a specifically Christian or even biblically based party that would have the numbers to win. I -do- think that we and the rational libertarians would be able to make up that number. Agree on small government, freedom of association and speech then win the culture war in the cultural arenas. That could be achieved. There are a LOT of disaffected Democrats too, who are as tired of their bizzarre leadership as we are of ours. The old Reagan Democrats and many of the PUMA’s are a potential pool for a new party.

As it stands, the difference between the GOP Washington cadre and the Democrat Washington cadre is too scant to matter. Both are vile and enemies of freedom. The face of the contemporary GOP is NOT Reagan and Palin. The face of the contemporary GOP is Romney and Murkowski. I will remove my registration as a Republican the day after Romney is nominated, if he is.

I wish we could have someone to write up a Conservative platform that would include all who voters who have not been represented by either party for so long. I don’t know what the name of the party should be, but a Common Sense Party, whatever it is called, would be a far cry from what we’ve had.

I am a registered Independent, but my husband is a registered Republican. He, too, said he would change his registration if Romney is nominated.

I pray every day that God will deliver us from the direction our nation is going.

I appreciate reading your thoughtful insights.
